Gifty Oware-Mensah spotted at 32nd GFA Congress in high spirits

Executive Council Member of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Gifty Oware-Mensah, was in attendance at the 32nd Ordinary Session of Congress held on Thursday, August 20, 2026.

She appeared in a black suit with her trademark headband, seated among dignitaries at the high table while observing proceedings at the Congress.

The session at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence in Prampram was one of the rare public appearances of the football administrator.

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Berry Ladies Football Club did not deliver an address or make any comments, instead keenly observing the discussions.

During the break, she interacted with other football officials present and was seen smiling, appearing cheerful and enjoying the moment.

The Southern Zone of the Women’s Premier League missed the flamboyance of Berry Ladies, who were the lowest-performing side in the 2024/25 season.

It was a turbulent campaign for the Madina-based club, whose performances could not save them from relegation. They managed just 7 points from 18 matches and conceded 36 goals throughout the season.

Reports suggest that several players have since dispersed to join other clubs, as Berry Ladies continue to struggle with financial challenges in managing the affairs of the team.
