Ghana arrive in Congo for a crucial 2012 African Nations Cup qualifier on Sunday with the Black Stars knowing how vital a win would boost their qualification chances from Group I.

The Black Stars had been training in Kenya for the past five days ahead of the game with Congo.

Goran Stevanovic would take his last training session at the Alphonse Massamba Debat Stadium, the match venue later in the evening.

"It very, very is important to take this match very seriously. We have to be motivated and ambitious and that is the best way we will win," Stevanovic said prior to his arrival in Brazzaville on Saturday.

Ghana's task wouldn't come easy due to the tight competition in Group I for places at the 2012 Cup of Nations finals in Gabon and Equatorial Guinea.

Topping the group on goal difference with four points and ahead of Sudan who are themselves are at home to Swaziland, Ghana are one point ahead of their opponents for Sunday.

A win could well place the Black Stars in pole position of qualifying for the 2012 finals and bring Stevanovic closer to ending Ghana's Nations Cup title drought after 29 years.

"I want to give my best and I think it is enough. If we do it well we can go better than the final finish in Angola. I have said to the people of Ghana already that is has been too long since Ghana won the Nations Cup and I want to change that. It is my great challenge," the Ghana coach says.
