Ever since I heard the coach was trying to convert kwadjo Asamoad into a full left back, I had my reservations. Then he made it worsr by axing Dede Ayew. These two players are our most creative players and we need them near the opponents goal area to be able to score. Asamoah still managed at full back to create a goal and score one himself. The left side of defense was the weakest. Coach just watch out.

Remember, all the 16 countries went into the tournament with their ultimate goal of winning every match.

Please, this is not the time to blame anybody. It is time to motivate our coach and our players. No one go into a battle to lose, but when he loses, he has to accept it and carry on with life.

Next, it 's always best to bring in new and younger players as subs. The exceptions are the few who have proven themselves in competitions else where. I cannot understand the strategy of using many new players who have not yet blended in at a high competition level. I support the coach. However, my loyalty is a winning team.

In the modern game,good coaches always make the most out of the player roster at their disposal.It is unconcionable to have good players like Jonathan Mensah sit on the bench unutilized even though he has the physique,abundant talent and skill and the potential to play very well in other roles. WATCH these examples; Ben Johnson,origionally a defender was made a striker by Buckard,and more recently, Esien from central defence to a midfield generalismo. Soccer is replete with players who successfully metamorphosed and became great players.

l have watched Jonathan play soccer since their World Under 20 Championship success and if Kwasi Appiah do not know,l submit he has the potential to find his mojo playing very well as a defensive midfielder to replicate the performances of Essien. That is what the current team lacks.Somebody who tackles well and is strong enough to disrupt opponent formations,hold onto and distribute the ball efficiently.

Annan does well but so easilly gets bullied by stonger midfielders.If my suggetion is acceptable,then all that is required is for the coach to build the skill of keeping and passing accurately. In that scenario Annan or Boateng and Agyemang Badu will be freed to attack the opponent goal area.For me it does not make sense to keep good players on the bench.The argument applies to Jerry Akaminko.He also can retrain at the full back(R) position.For this turnament, it will be disastrous to attempt such changes.But for the long term perspective,particularly with the 2014 World Cup in view,such shifts could be profitable.The performance of the team in yesterdays encounter with DRC can be improved by radical far sighted approaches to the modern game.The coach must not waste the talents at his disposal.That is not acceptable and i hope Akwasi Appiah is reading.

Antony Annan, Issaac Vorsah, and Jornathan Mensah are all injured and upon all that the coach took them to the tournnament leaving behind Dede and Jordan. Our next opponent will Mali. This match will be the toughest in the group, i hope we win this if not our chances of qualifying to the next round will almost be reduced to nothing

Ghana sports should go through like what JJ did to Ghana's politics. There is the need of a totally overhauling. Send any sports official to prison who even has sex with an athlete. This should apply to coaches taking bribes for players to compete for the nation. These two things are killing the country's sporting activities.
Do the sports officials in Ghana understand the importance of athletics in the country. EVERY productive citizen in life needs a sound mind and body and this is obtained from sporting activities. The sociological aspect of sports is superfluous. The mental and physical values are many. If every child can,t to go school but they should be granted a better growth in life.
Some school districts in the country do not have sporting activities because they lack the funds. The ministry came out with this bogus plan that smaller school districts can not get funds for athletics programs. Yet from the President down to the leaders, no one speaks for these children growth.
The less populated areas are grossly affected by this stupid and tribal warfare. Historically, the areas which produced most outstanding sports men and women had been greatly affected by this ruling.
The poor performance of Ghanaian athletes in the last Olympics said it all. If an athlete can not give a coach a bribe it means he or she does not get to compete for the country. The sports officials in the country should all walk and talk with their heads down and the hands behind their backs with shame.
