All of us are not happy about the outcome of the Congo match because as a team, we did not play well. The Congolese played physical with us which took a Player like ATSU out of the game. I am happy the Coach seems to be sticking with him for the match with Mali. ATSU will shine in this game because Mali play finise game unlike the physical Congo team and Ghana will come on top if we stick with ATSU instead of Rabiu.

Congo did not play with amputee players, you have to realise.
Nigeria played the game you are prescribing and Burkina FasO made them pay. Ivory Coast played the same way sitting on one goal lead and Togo almost made them pay. Cape Verde did the same yesterday and Morocco equalized in the dying minutes of the game.

Peronally i never found the game between Ghana and DR Congo rough. Anyway it used to be said the 'footballing' was not ladies game.

The head coach said there was a 'tactical indiscipline'.
Who provides the tactics at a game? Is it not the Technical team headed by Kwasi Appiah?
Unless i was watching a different game, but to me, he never provided any good leadership. Whilst the DRC coach was issuing instructions on the side line to his players our Kwasi Appiah was just quiet close to his reserve players.

The Blackstars are at the cross-roads, if the team loses to Mali then that will be the end of the team so far as this years (2013) AFCON is concerned.

Good luck to the Blackstars. I hope Kwadwo Asamoah would be moved to the position he usually plays at Juventus FC.

The fact that you did not see Kwesi Appiah jumping up and down and throwing theatrical tantrums does not mean he was not communicating to the team. Every Coach has his own way of doing things and if you are expecting the Coach to be doing what you are suggesting, then you are going to be disappointed because that is not his style.

We were all not happy the team allowed Congo to come back and draw in that game but we should stop critisizing the Coach and Players so as not to dampen their spirits, this is the time they need our morale support and the unnecessary criticism will not do us any good. The time to do introspection and criticism will come after the tournament. We have to realise the other fifteen teams did not come to South Africa for sight seeing, they too came to play. We have arrogantly elevated ourselves as the favourites as if the other teams came here with amputee Players.

Before then it was only Nigeria and may be North Africans,and even to face North Africans it was Algeria and Morocco that gives Ghana tough time at all qualifying stages either AFCO of world cup. Now Ghana Black star look shaky to any Team and find it tough to go all out to win a match.
