They are praying for their stomachs, do you think God is only in Ghana or Kumasi, better let the players train and play well and stop advertising yourselves as people who want the coach because you want to eat from him.

When we staged the 2008 edition of the show in Ghana, one would have thought, our position with God, albeit, the series of 'akonkyer3', the daily 'corrections' OOPS! my undulated but slippery tongue is pardoned.

What I mean to say is, the Kwasiada and dabiara offerings in the churches, afOrebO, ntotosoOdu,Sofo-nyame and the 'pray for me' craze, the various as3mpatr3- assemblies have been our preoccupation as X'tians all these doggone years of worship and praises, yet the 5th trophy has eluded us.
Howfore is this God feasible?

What are you people saying? Are you telling me none of you pray for his job to go well for him? You may not be the prayer type of a person and if that is the case then I understand. However, some people pray in almost everything they do. The bible says, pray without season. This means in everything you are about to encounter, just hand it to God before you even tackle it. Therefore, I don't see anything wrong with this prayer intersession.

Remember, this is a pray for someone they love to succeed. It is like you praying for your children to do go in school. There is nothing wrong with that, POW and Godfather. The coach's job is on the line here. If he doesn't succeed, especially, if his team is unable to come out from the group stage he may be asked to walk out from what provides for his daily bread. So for his fans, or family members, or even for anyone to pray for him to succeed, is something we all do. We pray for God to intervene in our daily movement. If you don't, that doesn't mean it is wrong or bad to do so.

Here is one:

Before the advent of Xtianity in Ghana
our fore fathers knew about all the lesser gods and the God uphigh.

This could be seen or inherent in our everyday life, especially, reverences to God is generally manifested in our language.
i.g.: Woho y3? Onyame adom, s3 3y3 Onyame p3 a, Onyame tie me sufr3 etc etc.

That aspect of the new religion where one has to pray for another was not known in ours. A group praying for another group, what is now known as intecessary prayers was non-existent.

One would normally wish good tidings for the other, say, a love one to succeed in his deliberations. But would not formally pray to God for him
to succeed. Doing so requires a specialty in that venture ordained by God and or by following Jesus' footsteps.

The house of prayer, prayer warriors,
the anointed hands, Jesus Christ the scientist, the church of the Lord Temple and conglomerates of all the sprouted syncretist churches have all formed a clique whose main pre-occupation is money, wealth and fame of the new society we find ourselves. "Obi nkyer3 akwadaa Nyame" mystically, is advising us that, each one of us would render an account of his/her deeds/misdeeds on earth.
If that is so, how could one pray for the other?.

Pray for your self is well understood. "Obi rekra ne Nyame no, na obi nnyina hO"
Isn't it?

It is apparent that, this recalcitrant body of christ is gradually but shamefully moulding the house of God into a social club. (culled, but with much apologies to Jesus Christ of Nazareth)

Besides, there's something really fundamentally wrong with the thinking of people who at this age and era believe in the church as means to an end.

He created you, He has power and dominion over you but until you call Him, He will not interfere in your affairs. We have tried over the years with our good materials and everything but to know avail but if my people who are called by my name will humble themselves, repent and pray, I the Lord will hear and answer them and I will heal their land of over 30years trophy-less. Nothing Stop the people who are called by God to intercede for the nation in in this regard. roykreamv@yahoo.co.uk
