Does anyone pay the Kayaye or Taxi drivers, kenkey sellers and bonus for selling making their contribution to the Ghana. These players ride on the national team to boost their carreer earning huge some of money inlcuding local players. Why should the the nation pay them bonuses? Does the soldier or police man get bonuses for doing their duty? This must be scraped or the players must pay back the bonuses to some charitable institutions in Ghana? No wonder everyone in Ghana wants some payola before their do their duty. Even a common secretary will expect something before typing a letter!!

Nigeria has a date with Ivory Coast, that is going to be the cracker of of the quarter finals.

It's not official but I don't see Ivory Coast losing to Algeria or Togo beating Tunisia by more than one goal.

Therefore, since Ivory Coast beat both nations, Togo and Tunisia, Ivory Coast will still sits on top no matter what. This means, Nigeria, which came second from Group "C" is going to meet Ivory Coast.

Now, with these calculations, if Ghana goes through from the quarter finals, its next opponent will be the winner between Burkina Faso and the second nation from Group "D" which is likely going to be either Togo or Tunisia.

Ivory Coast has 6 points

Togo has 3 points

Tunisia has 3 points

Algeria has 0 point.

Are we having it soft or what? That is how it seems to me. It seems the wave is blowing toward our side of the Atlantic Ocean and I can sense the trophy coming home from South Africa through Nigeria not Ivory Coast.

With reference to the economic situation in Ghana as of now,eventhough the Black Stars players deserve to be rewarded for raising the flag of Ghana,each player being given US$35,000 is too much.Some sectors of workers are working indefatigably with very minute salaries.They struggle for better conditions service but fall to the deaf ears of the powers that be.Even after sixty years[60yrs]of work,their entitlement is not even up to quarter of this money given to each player.Meanwhile,they are all rendering very lucrative services to the nation.It is about time some other workers were also rewarded to do extra as in the case of these players.Because what is good for the goose is also good for the ganda.
