I have watched Ghana teams play in African Cups and other competitive football over 40 years. Ghana teams has suffered bias officiating including maltreatment at away games many times. This is the first time in my life that I have witnessed a referee who played number 12 for Ghana.
The penalty for Ghana was a good penalty, so as similar incident that should have favored the Bourkinas' team, yet the referee did not award a penalty against Ghana. Bourkinas' also scored a good goal. The referee disallowed. What amazed me was that, the referee neither ruled that goal as off side which could not have been the case or as fouled against the Bourkina forward player for pushing.
This is a shame for the referee. Ghana Black Stars lost the game to a better team.
I think coach Appiah lacks critical coaching technicality. Why did he keep Gyan and chanced Wakaso beats my football intelligence. It was obvious that the game was heading towards penalty kicks. Gyan had made it known that he would not participate in spot kicks until only when necessary. Wakaso should have been kept and Gyan should have been changed.
Coach Appiah has disappointed me and Ghana very well. I am not sure he could yield any better results for Ghana.
I was all for coach Appiah's appointment, from what I saw during his organization and selections in the tournament, I have given up on the Coach.

When a ball wasn't there a defender booting Asamoah Gyan and only shown yellow card, these guys were playing rough and CAF supporting blindly because the Supersport guys said unfair officiating and easily accepted by the CAF, I'm sorry is painful. They should sit down and watch the match carefully and avoid external influence to take proper action rather than porous one. Some are using politics instead of objective.

You did remember the action through which Pitroipa was shown his first yellow card. Gyan had done the same twice, the referee did not show him a yellow card but wisled for Burkina. Do you find it fair? When you controll the ball by your arm, it's automaticly sanctioned with a yellow card at least. Note: Ghana is the only african Team I support, in addition to Burkina, as I'm Burkinabè. But you have to recognize and testify sinserely that the the Stallions were better than the Stars during this game. That won't kill you

He had a poor game. CAF should just over-rule the red card to Pitroipa if they can clearly see it was wrong.
However he should have sent of the Burkina Faso defender (Kuli baly) for stamping on Asamoah Gyan all the time.

Whoever did that should be blamed. Yes that Burkinabe defender has no business staying to finish the game .. What he did could not be pardoned in Europe or any civilized country. The guy stamped Asamoah Djan on two occasions which demanded a straight red card by FIFA ruling.. but none raised any eye lid?.. If CAF overturn Pet's red card then they have to replay the match and ban that defender else he will do a worse thing next time.... The referee was just bad on that day and and did mar the beauty of the game making me feel nervous about his decisions whether for or against Ghana!!!

If you are fair, say how many time the burkinabé players had suffered ghanian rough way of playing, sometime worthly to be cautioned and never so? Th e referee could have had any decency he gave cards to Gyan protesting to him or claimin he gave card to his contender.

I urge Govt to probe GFA, the coach and the playing body and come out with their findings so that Ghana is not associated with this disgraceful referee. Ghana's reputation is now linked to this referee so the earlier we act to distance our selves from the referee the better.

Many football fans will be turned off if this continues.

Ghana is still living on past football glory and it's about time we realize that other African countries who were previously not good in football have caught up with us or are playing better than we are.

I urge CAF to reinstate Petroipba who was issued a red card. He's exciting to watch. I'm sure many people will boycott the Nigeria vrs Burkina Faso match if he's not reinstated.
