  i have heard this cliche ''preparing for the future'' for a very long time.
  what has been happening is that we keep using it to destroy today. for instance in before angola afcon, we tthrew some under 20 players into the national team and benched players like essien, djan, haminu, sapei etc. luckily within 45 minutes we realised the mistake we have done and we quickly brought them in. that was why that team got to the finals and not because under20 players were used.
  now we are thinking about the future again. what for instance should a player like yaw owusu do before we should know that this is the time he should replace paintsil as a right full back?

  I think I have sympathized with Kwesi Appiah a lot, but looking at things deeply, it looks like we basically did not go to AFCON with the best team to represent Ghana. Owusu Abayie, even half-fit Muntari, Laryea Kinston, Stephen Appiah and many others could have done better than the team we sent. The technical team, particularly the coach must be honest with his selection. This kind of KOKOFU selection tactics will not help us.

  I don't think we will qualify cos we have to beat Zambia and they have six points already all they need is to beat Sudan and draw with Ghana and they are through its too late for Ghana now

  Wasn't is said that either in the 2010 World Cup Ghana had the youngest squad? So what happened to that team only three years on and we're still talking about raising talents to build a new team? We have a big problem if as a nation we cannot keep a team and only add to it as and when the older ones retire. When some players can play for as many as 100 times for their country in Ghana our highest capped player is Abedi Pele who has had 73 caps.
  
  Like the nation itself our national team always pride itself by claiming it's starting. For how long can we continue to start without ever maturing?
