The coaching job is reserved for former Black Star players. Appiah will be successful and after Appiah the next coach may be S. Appiah, S Muntari, Essien, J Mensah, J Pentsil or any of the players who have died for us in the past. No more foreigners, we have some of the best players in the world. I won't mind if Abedi is given a big role in Ghana football.

There is going to be a big competition for a spot in the midfield. Do you play Frimpong instead of Badu? Not sure yet. Frimpong can come from the bench after we are clearly ahead. This is a must win game, and until we are sure of what a new call-p can do, we should not start him. But I like the competition; makes them work harder. Good luck, boys!!

First, Appiah may consider to play the 4-3-2-1 Milo Formation. This will eventually lead to another infamous penalty shootout.

The next option is the less dangerous 4-4-2 formation. This could produce goals sometimes but cannot be guaranteed.

The next formation is the 4-2-4.This is like the Akwamu battle formation. It requires two fleetfooted linkmen to control the area around the center-circle. It also requires 4 productive strikers and 4 solid defenders. This formation can be collapsed into a 4-6-0 if we are protecting a lead.

The next formation is the legendary recoil-less 2-3-5. This will produce goals but will involve lots of risk. To play this formation Appiah needs a real goal-keeper, 2 stay-at-home defenders, 3 ball controllers who can dribble and execute successful passes. Then Appiah will need five blazing strikers. Two of these five strikers must have thunder in both feet. One of the five must be an artillery man like Malik or Abukari. He must shoot at the goalie anytime he have the least chance in the penalty box. His job is to keep the Sudanese goalie under siege. The remaining two strikers will be linkmen and occasionally join the attack. Appiah may not have trained troops for such a formation?

Appiah may also consider the recoilling 2-3-5. The difference is that the 5 strikers mount the attacks starting from behind the center circle and then recoil to defend when they lose the ball.

The other formations include the 3-3-4, 5-2-3, but they may not quench the thirst for more goals and victory for the famous Black Stars.
