The issue is head coaches do not take part in hiring their own assistants and backroom staff that is the root of the problem.

Coachito you are right, but i partly blame the sport administration in Ghana for that.

In Ghana it is the team officials who chose assistant coaches for a head coach. An enemy of progress can be chosen for you as a co. trainer to antagonise you for nothing. Untill Ghana football administrators learn to keep abreast with time this Gossip, back biting etc will continue to take it`s toll.
It is the coach who chooses his co. trainer, someone he trust, someone he can work with.
Coaching like any other profession is a team work. That`s why all over the world when a coach is assigned a job, he bring his team.
I pray we change for the better.
How can you succeed, working with your secret enemy.
Coachito, this your boy, I wish you all the best.
Ghana Sports Council must set good examples for the teams to emulate.
I also think It will be approapriate for the roll of assistant coaches to be well defined in Ghana.
1. The job of the assistant coach is to take instructions from the head coach.
2. To support him
3. The assistant coach still carries the instructions of the head coach even if he the head coach is unwell. etc
4. The coach has the right to pick a new co. trainer if working with the current is incompartible.
Ghana is blessed with football talents but untill we learn to do the right thing success will continua to play games with us.
Finally I plead, allow the coaches to bring their own team so that if they fail you can blame them.
