One loss should not deter our future hopes. We must get a better Coach who can assemble the top best U-17's available to us and train hard to win.

The African mentality is focused on today. Can we plan for tomorrow? A better Technical team and a plan to train harder. I say, yes we can!

If we wait till 6 weeks to a tournament before we assemble a team, we cannot possible expect to win.

If we want to win we must start assembling a team when the kids are 15. Keep them together and expose them to tough competitions both home and abroad.

I do not buy your argument, I believe we can win with the right mindset, preparation and determination. If we can produce players who can play at the highest level of football, why can't we produce 11 players who can top the world at the age of 17?

We certainly don't need this kind of talk from people like you. What we need is for GFA to sit down and lay down a long term plan, going forward. We can do it, I believe in Ghana.

Ghanaians are naturally small and our 17 year olds can not compete with 17 year old Nigerians or 15 year old Germans. 15 year old Germans are bigger and stronger than 20 year old Ghanaians.

What is the difference between Ghanaian under-17s and Nigerian, Brazilian, Argentine and all the under-17s from other countries if they are all using their right ages? Does he know fresh milk consumption from infancy can increase bone density? Bone density alone cannot be a confirmation test for correct age. Milk in the diet and calcium supplements can augment bone density. Carbon dating of some tissue plus scans may be more reliable. All the same, I hope Mr. Abbey Pobey is just being purely emotional and unnecessarily given to hyperbole.

What is the worth of a starlet who will not become a star?
The aim of the youth competitions namely U17 and U 20 is to develop the game at the senior level but almost every country particularly Africans, Asians and South Americans have turned them into ultimate goals by cheating on the players' ages. That is the reason why Ghana or Nigeria could win several world cups between them in the U17 competitions but could only make one quarter final each at the senior level.
This year, Ghana has been bold to call a spade a spade and put in some effort to avoid cheating and the result is what we are witnessing - 6-1 drubbing by Nigeria.
For me, it is good news that the entire Starlet team has no one playing in the premier league. We should feel good about our effort to be honest this time. This is how it should be henceforth. It is only in the achievements of the senior side, the Black Stars, that we should pursue glory in soccer. It is a shame to win world cup in U17 but and yet fail to go beyond the 1/4 finals in the senior competition.
