Am not easy about this match with Iraq. My gut feeling is that we may lose, but some hard work from defence to check Adnan's prolific scoring antics could save us. We can always count on the frontline boys to deliver but Coach Tetteh ought to pep-talk the defense to defend Ghana's football reputation today. Although my guts are turning, Dear Countrymen, let us be positive and hope for the best

We have suffered enough under the rules of yellow card suspension for far too long. Since AFCON 1992 Abedi got suspended in the final match against Ivory Coast, through World Cup 2006, Michael Essien suspended in the round of 16th and so Brazil beat us 3-0; all the way to AFCON 2012, where history repeated itself, whereby a son of the legendary Abedi Pele, Andrea Ayew, also got suspended and therefore missed a semi-final match played against the eventual tournament winner, Zambia, and now this U-20 squad, in a semi final match against France, nothing has been done about it.

The question here is what can we do to limit such incidents? There is nothing we can do to stop it, though, however, to limit it, there is. If we have time, we could have gone through all these suspensions and the ones I didn't mention and history would make it plain to us that attitude played a bigger part in it. I agree, some of them were by accident, on the other hand, majority were through quick temper.

You may not understand but to me, if we were to have all our players at hand during the France semi-final match, we could have knocked France out. Unfortunately, three players from our starting line-up were suspended. I'm sure you want to ask, "weren't these same players available when we got beat by this same France team 3-1 in the preliminary stages of the tournament?" They were but for that match, we lose due to technical deficiency. After that match, the technical team put things together and it worked until once again they couldn't cope with the idea of three main players being suspended.

Today will reveal the evidence of the act of our enemy, SUSPENSION! Today, with all players taking part in this coming third placed match, the evidence of we being eluded by the rule of suspension will be cleared.

It is about time we talk about this issue for it can't continue to hurt us.

You may well be right. Attamah was solid, very firm but smart with the diving Iraqi strikers. I think we missed him, Lartey and Odjer in our semi final game against France. Ofori is a really nice revelation, but I must say that the defense did not give the Iraqis and clear looks at scoring. Sellas made the needed tactical adjustments - Ghana was never caught on the counter, nor spread too wide. They forced Iraq to play a compact game or risk losing possession. Ghana was tactically superior in this bronze medal game.
