Yes, it is the story you have heard several times, like a guy who became courageous to marry a girl who had been used and dumped by everybody. Instead of appreciating this guy who has honored her by marrying her and treating her like queen, anytime there is a fight, this girl will tell him " Me ware wo nfie bebrebie, wo nnto PIN mpo emma me" to wit, you have not even bought a pin for me since I married. This is how we treat Asamoah Gyan.

Yet, an idiot like Essien who rode on our back to become the first megastar is always being begged to come and play for us. Just like the what we say in our neck of wood.... "emma pe nkwasea foo" to wit, women like idiots. They always fall for those who abuse and use them while rejecting those who are kind and good.

May be we should begin to appreciate what this guy has done for Ghana.

in the last afcon he did similar thing i think in the match against burkina when instead of a simple pass to atsu he try a wayward shot on goal.

Brazil went in with their best, we went in with half best because of the coach trying to test other players as well, and we don't appreciate the fact that we drew with our not full house team. That is my point but not that we shouldn't do better. Let us learn to appreciate what others do and rather encourage them to do better because there is more room for improvement, but not always go after their heads even if they win. That is typical of an African man, never satisfied, that is why we are swimming in corruption. Because we are never satisfied.

But have any of you notice he played a very weak team with horrible defence in the first half with Kwarasey in goal. He chaned, made some quasi-sensible substitutions and brought in one of his favorite goalies. This Coach is a dangerous person.

Sometimes Ghanaians fail to appreciate that at the end of the day, the Black Stars stay competitive. They are not consistent, but they always find a way to compete.

Since 2008/2009 Ghana has not had soooooo such a pool of TALENTED FOOTBALLERS scattered all over the world! The handlers of the various national teams should always try to keep abreast with the development of the game! Seminar here ,seminars there, refresher courses etc, etc. Akwesi Nyantekyi should not spend the GFA monies on per diems for his cronies etc, he should rather concentrate on upgrading our national coaches! IF C.K. Gyamfi could be contacted , he would tell them why he alone could win all those trophies with the Black Stars; Germany, Britain or Brazil , the then "GAFA" sent him there to refresh his knowledge and he also knew how to manage the egos of some of the players! In Ghana football or sports, you never succeed with the motto ; " I'LL SHOW YOU WHERE POWER LIES!" When that happens, then it's the beginning of the end!!! MORE TALKING AMONG PLAYERS AND THE COACHING STAFF; that's the secret :COMMUNICATION.

The only reason i think Akwasi Appiah is ignoring the high quality players like Kevin, the Ayew's is because their level of playing surpasses his ability. Akwasi Appiah will be unqualified to train them Period. He must go.

Someone had an issue with the fact that i had mentioned the involvemenet of Asantehene and president Mahamas meeting with the Ayews to have laid these issues to rest. I mentioned Asantehene and Mahama becos these men called the players aside to practically beg them to rescind their self imposed exile from the blackstars. Im not in anyway trying to fan tribalistic sentiments but you will agree that these are revered institutions in our society and i would have hoped that their involvemenet would have at least put any issues to rest. Dont you think?
I dont have to be NDC or an Asante to respect the authority of the asantehene or the president of Ghana. So when these men call and ask for an appeasement i will definitely give them that respect. This is what the Ayews havent done. They should at least have written to the GFA in line with the statutes of the association. In my view they niether respect the GFA or the representatives of highest institutions in Ghana, so why should they play for the country?

If you go back to the original article, you will note that I have put a comment there stating that I now see where you are coming from. I fully agree with you.
