Ghana Under 17 teams that have won the U-17 world cups has cheated before in those competitions and Nigerians has never raised eye brows...so why are new behaving as if we are saints?????????? Is it obvious that the boys they used at the qualifiers has now grown considering the time difference as at when the played the African qualifiers matches and now that they are now testing the boys to get it right at the world cup proper?...Let's think with our brains and not being judgmental on this development.....

Nana, I agree with you. In those days (from 1991 to 1999) we used overaged players, thats why we won twice, placed 2nd twice and 3rd once. One of those teams should have been won world cup by now.

But I think these days Ghana is trying to field the correct age players as we have realised that cheating at youth tournaments does not help. The youth tournaments are meant to develop young players. If you go there with old players, you will win the U 17 tournament, but when it comes to the senior team (the one that really matters) you will have no talent coming through

I only love to watch their senior national team because that is the only way you enjoy true strength and competition devoid of cheating. Naija will do anything under the sun to match Ghana's glory in youth tournament, nothing wrong with that if any country on the continent can make us happy, but naija's approach is so mischievous and sucks badly. like Togbegah said, they celebrate shamelessly afterwards...No Nigeria youth team have ever impressed me because they always cheat.

If not,from those 2 teams that won in 1991 and 1995, and the runners up in 1993 and 1997 at least one of those teams should have won world cup by now as they grow and mature together....... but they were all old men playing against kids at the time, that is why they won.
But at least these days, we have realised that cheating does not get us anywhere and we are trying to field the correct age. That is what Naija has to learn. Those days of cheating are over as they do not benefit the nation in the long run.

Or are you not aware that Ghana won the U 20 world cup with over-27 boys (men at the peak of their career)? The only time Ghana presented a semblance of U16 was the time the team failed woefully (ie the last african U 16 qualifiers). Remove the plank in your eyes first and stop celebrating your FA inefficiency in the open.

Now u all are now agreeing with me that GFA was as faulty n full of deceits just like the Nigeria FA in the past concerning the U17 players age. Most times we all are thieves but because we weren't caught when we cheated doesn't mean that we are saints. That's my point here; but not to be so full of hatred to the nigerian FA as if we have never done the same in the past U17 competitions.The most important thing is we will all learn at end of the day and the future U17 representatives from African will benefit from this MRI testing when they move to the senior National Teams.
