AA played for his school team, he played for Kotoko and the Black Stars and captained both teams, he was assistant coach for three white coaches of the Black Stars. If you say he is not good enough to be our coach then there is something wrong with your thinking. Do you not understand that this guy is insulting AA and all of us? If AA is not good what about Sellas Tetteh, Abedi, Polo etc? All these guys need to be given the opportunity to contribute to the team in the way they did on the field of play.

He is good in the physical side of preparing the players. What he has to do for his players to gain stamina, is what he does best. However, match winning is not only about stamina and talks. To me, Zambia is as good as the Black Stars and if they were among groups without Ghana, Ivory Coast, Nigeria, they could have made it. He just couldn't take advantage of the team he has.

Look at the way, Zambia played us in our own turf? Have you asked yourself why this man couldn't help his team to play like that in Sudan? He let the weaker teams passed-by without taking advantage on them. His aim was to beat Ghana and so under rated the others. Evidently, his priorities were wrong. Such a coach could not be rely upon.

It is unfortunate that Black Coaches haven't proved their worth as good managers yet. Otherwise, this man wouldn't have had a coaching job in the continent.

Slimzay you are right about tha state of affairs of the current Black Star coaches. This is a non-trivial problem as we enter into the next round of competition. It bothers all Ghana soccer fans. Some of the concerns of Rasheed, GHFUO, The Sherrif, The Stallion, and in particular Africanus concerning, the ways in which the famous Black Stars are selected, trained, disciplined, motivated and groomed from U20 stars, are still not resolved as shown by the game with Zambia.It took too long to assemble the players; Essien, Ayew , and Prince Boateng were included at the eleventh hour; Muntari's case is still in limbo; team chemistry will have no time to develop; and the friendly matches are not used effectively to practise formations as the team kept changing with each game . On paper, the Black Stars are better than any other team in Africa even with minimum preparation. The coach has to work on the goal-keepers, and the forward line. One credit for coach Appiah is that he is not like a one-goal-project man like MILO the Serbian; and also he is strong man and stable under fire. But he has to harness the skills of the U20 Starlettes and the current Black Stars and develop them into an efficient , well-oiled, fearless and fearsome team that can play in the WC2014 in Brazil. In this regard, Appiah should be teamed with Sellas who should work on the fowardline as Appiah works on set-plays and defence. The other guy, Stephen Appiah ( Tornado) should be hired to work on the midfield; Max Konadu should work on the goalkeeper's agility, anticipation and confidence.Both Sellas and Appiah work on the teams's ball distribution, creative dribbling and team chemistry. Renard could be hired if there is money, as a physical trainer who should work on the stamina and penalty shooting skills of the Black Stars.

I like Appiah for his coolness. He's calm and level headed. But when it comes to coaching, I believe his confidence level and tactical approach to winning is limited. And that is where Renard comes in. Renard is strong, confident and psychologically astute. We need that kind of composure to extend to the players. The Black Stars, sometimes lack confidence and not as strong as the rigors of World Cup Competition requires. Bring him in to fill in Kwasi Appiah's negatives.

THE fa would have kicked against bringing in another foreigner to be assistant to the appointed head coach. it was the policy of the FA to have a local as assistant coach fo understudying. however, the expatraite coaches since coach dosena have used some very clever ways of bringing in an assistant to outwit the FA. THAT explains why its so slow for local assistants to understudy the foreign coach employed.

I am and have been a strong advocate for Afrocentrism. I am among those who clamour for made in Africa, but I must say the Black stars under Kwesi Appiah have been more of QUANTITY thank QUALITY. Quantity in the sense that the individual players contribute more than what comes from the sidelines. When you are in the world cup and you meet top teams, Quantity doesnt count any more. Thats when you need a master tactitian of a coach to persevere and succeed. If the GFA can afford lets hire Renard as part of the assistant team so he can contribute KNOWLEDE and EXPERIENCE for us to look forward to a semi final spot in the WC. We will go far.

Total machine at work. midfield, flanks, etc. When we play, you see individual players either being tried or lack of coersion either upfront or at the back. You dont win a world cup with that. You must think ahead, not just making it to the world cup but winning it. That when tactics count.
