The die has been cast and I could see the "Egyptians Pharaohs" with their 'ABRACADABRA MAGIC' eclipsing the Ghana Black Stars with their "EGYPTIAN CLOUD." What a piece of phenomenon event to watch. My advice to the handlers of the Black Stars is that North African countries do not boast of individual talents as countries in West Africa. Teams from West Africa have individual talented players unlike teams from North Africa.
Their strength is team work and tactical play. Knowing they are not gifted in individually skilful players, they rely very much on tactics and team work.
We need to remind ourselves that football is a team sports than individual skills. It is a plus if a team has skilful players but football deals mainly of team work.
We need to remind ourselves again about the output of the Zambians whom we recently engaged. A team which has relatively little European professional players were able to pin the Blackstars to their half breathlessly to the extent that many Ghanaian watchers were praying for the match to end quickily.
I wish the Blackstars the best but they need to work very hard to scale over the Egyptians on this occasion. It is not a done deal. Putting our hopes on our individually talented players will not help to win the match let alone score more goals to make us comfortable for the return leg in Egypt.
