It must be just me but sometimes I get so pissed off readin articles at Ghana web,i may probably be ignorant,but its the job of the writer to make the story clearer.

Kosh, you are not the only one that gets pissed off by Ghanaweb reporters. What on earth prevented the reporter from clarifying that "Polokwane City, a recently promoted club to the South African Premier Soccer League, is in negotiations with the veteran Ghanaian player.....?"

Sometimes I cast my mind back to the way we fled from Ogyakrom in the 80s to Nigeria, then further to other parts of the world, left a dangerous vacuum in our education system; the fruits of which we are reaping today in the form of half-baked products from our schools of journalism and elsewhere!

Imagine a Ghanaweb reporter refering to a "rifle" as "lafle". Lol

The journalist took the time to write PSL, but did not explain what it means (Premier Soccer League). I also get pissed off!!

SF - He also mentioned USD, so what is your point? Also, he didnt bother to write Rand, he simply put an "R"...... don't blame us for lazy journalism. In theory, you shouldn't use abbreviations if you have not first explained ...

In theory, you shouldn't use abbreviations if you have not first explained what they mean. So he should have written "Premier Soccer League" and then put PSL in brackets, and then for the rest of the article he could use PSL. Same thing with the Rand.
I am not the one who needs to educate myself. It is the journalist who gets paid to write for a living that has to!
