Here is my selection.

1. Adam Kwarasey, for the fact that Fatau Dauda is still warming the bench, I don't think he would be pick before Adam.

3. David Addy

4. Jerry Akaminko

5. Awal Mohammed

6. Micheal Essien

7. Andrea Ayew

8. Kwedwo Asamoah (hidden play maker, playing side by side with Essien)

9. Asamoah Gyan

10. Sulley Muntari

11. Wakaso Mubarrak

With the 4-2-3-1 formation, I agree with the writer.

When you look at selection, from our number 6 through 11, all have the ability to score. That is what I think Kwasi Appiah is going for. We want as much treat inflicted on the Egyptians as we could. In connection to that, more goals may fall upon them.

Playing Essien as defensive midfielder at the commencement of the game can be very dangerous.

Essien now doesn't have the steam as Essien we knew years back.Also Egyptians are good away performance. You need a defensive midfielder as strong as Agymang Babu.

Rabiu Mohammed would have played if not injured. A defensive player who will tackle, go for 50-50 challenges without any fear is what Ghana needs. Essien certainly isn't the kind of player.
Essien should start from the bench.

Ghana have major problem at the lateral defense because both David Addy and Opare recovery rate is poor and they all like to overlap.

Egypt will rely on the counter attack and crosses.Using players with the height and defensive ability as Addy and Opare should be the weakest link in Ghana set up which the Egyptians will capitalize.Yet that is the best we have as a country.

Inkoom is currently inactive but i don't see Opare as a better right back comparing to Inkoom,judging from the game Opare played against Zambia and the friendly against Japan.

Also 4-1-3-1 Formation isn't the best as Ghana need goals.Even though our wingers can all score,using Sulley as supportive striker is a bad idea.

We need a real supportive striker who can attack and create goals for the main striker.

Kwarasey in poles for this though game which Ghana need a clean sheet?Oh then Ghana is dead.Kwarasey is the third keeper as at now.LOL

Ghana best formation should be 4-1-3-2

1.KINGSTON
2.INKOOM(Opare is poor offensively and worse defensive as at now.
3.DAVID ADDY
4.AWAL MOHAMMED
5.JERRY AKAMINKO
6.AGYMANG BADU
7.DEDE AYAW
8-KOWDO ASAMOAH
9-A.WARIS
10.ASAMAH GYAN
11.WAKASO

This should be the arrangement of the player on the field of play

- 1-
2 - 4 - 5 - 3
- 6-
7 - 8 - 11-
9 - 11

Instructions which should be giving to the players.

Inkoom should wary of his over lap as well as Addy.

Agymang Badu should play the Makelele type of Midfield.He shouldn't literally cross the midfield line until he sees a lot of Egyptians players are at their own half.He should be in-front of the back four all the time and help them in defending.That should be his job.

Dede and WAKASO should fall back and help the lateral defenders as soon as Egyptians are in possession and join the attack as soon as Ghana is in possession. Kodwo Asamoah is the engine of my formation as he should be the link between the attackers and the defenders. Agymang Badu too can distribute the ball as well.

So as soon as the Egyptians have the ball,Agyman Badu becomes the sweeper for the Back four.So Ghana will have 5 defenders when the Egyptians are having possession.

Kodwo Asamoah comes back as a defensive midfielder when Ghana is under attack as well as the two wingers. Hence when Ghana is under attack the formation changes into

5-1-2-2 then change back into 4-1-3-2 when Ghana is on attack.

Then later Essien and Muntari could be introduced when needed but if you play 4-2-3-1 now that you are in need of goals what formation will you play at cairo?

Also using Waris as a winger in the 4-2-3-1 formation will be a total flop. Asamoah Gyan will be the lone striker under your formation.
Remember despite sulley scoring form ,he is more of defensive minded.He gonna be shifting back into defending instead of supporting Gyan. Ac Milan uses him as winger in 4-3-1-2 formation.That is, Sulley plays as a winger i among the 3 Midfielders not offensive striker who should supply balls to Balotelli and El Shaarawy .So as all eyes are on the two strikers Muntari scores

That is your opinion, but it´s AA and his TT who will be making the selection.
They´ve been togehter for a long time now and will deliver the best team to face the egptians, so don´t worry yourself.
