4-3-3 why the wingers have to come from up-front? Typical 4-3-3, the wingers come from the two wingers out of the three midfielders. The three upfront wouldn't have a winger. Besides, didn't see how Warris playing from the right side yesterday? When we have possession, our formation stays 4-3-3, when the opponent has possession it turns to be a 4-3-1-2 formation. In this way, the attacker in the middle comes back to assist the midfielders.

What many Ghanaians fail to see is that we do not need superstars. We just need people who work well together as a team. Coach Appiah has gradually built up the chemistry on this team. Building chemistry is not easy. Sometimes it means losing to Burkina Faso, letting DR Congo come back and get a draw, losing to Zambia in Lusaka, losing to Japan in a friendly, having to come back and get a draw against Turkey. It is all a process. This includes disciplining players by not calling them. At this point we have a team on the brink of the WC and the players are motivated and gelling well. For Essien, Muntari and Gyan, this is their last opportunity. They will play hard. For many of the others they know that a good performance will put them in a position to get more lucrative contracts. We are in the perfect situation right now. We just beat Egypt 6-1. This is a tremendous accomplishment even if the Egyptian program is not what it used to be. I should add that Waris has actually done what Adiyiah, Prince Tago, Matthew Amoah and others could not do. Give us a second striker who is actually a threat and has speed to even come back and help on defense. Waris is deserving of the highest praise.

what work for the team is simple. with the inclusion of essien, djan, dede & warris toned down on their selfish tendencies and the game flew.
there will be more team work when both essien and kvp are in the team because they work as team players and efficient in their passing game and they have clout. muntari is also another but he guilty of too many hurriedly predicatable long passes.

i have maintained that all the 3 goal keepers chosen since 2005 are not good. they were very bad goal keepers during their supposedly hey days. watch how edward ansah, abubakari damba & nasamu yakubu were dealing with corner kicks and ariel balls and you will agree with me that, they cannot groom any goal keeper to be perfect in those areas.
just as the GFA has quietly introduced professor mintah unto the blackstars bench, they should introduce the incomparable joseph or simon addo as goal keepers' trainer. the gfa should also look out for someone of pedigree to be team manager and possibly another person with better pedigree and an ex blackstars player to be the assistant coach. nasamu yakubu, maxwell konadu and saban quaye did not get call up into the blackstars let alone played. the bench does not strike awe. nigerian bench has ex world cup stars.

One sad mistake Ghana made in 2006 World cup was to leave out Laryeh Kingston, because of a then pending two match suspension. When one of our three world class midfielders received a second yellow card, we met Brazil with a weakened mieldfield. That was when everybody started crying for the absence of Laryeh Kinston. There are many matches to play at the world cup, injuries and suspensions would occur which is why we need to take all our good players along. kevin Prince Boateng should be included whether or not he plays in the last match.

Gyan may have his faults but he is Ghana's greatest striker. Its better for him to score goes and take us to the world cup and disappoints us later.
What many Ghanaians fail to see is that we do not need superstars. We just need people who work well together as a team. Coach Appiah has gradually built up the chemistry on this team. Building chemistry is not easy. Some ...

djan is effectively dictating who should be fielded. who knows if richmond, mahatma or jordan were fielded, instead of warris or djan himself there could have been more goals. both djan and warris missed early opportunities w ...

Has any trokosi known truth? You are all bunch of liars and biased group. Why do you trokosis pick on Asamaoah Gyan? Get lost, trokosi mad man.
Trokosiba 1 will try to find fault on Asamoa Gyan, because Gyan is not a member of Trokosi. Have you seen a 'trokosi' appreciating anything good thing from an Akan?. If Asamoah Gyan were a trkosiba 1, you would have seen how ...

Tony Yeboah scored a hell of goal in
GERMANY cos of his pair with OKOCHA.
If we read the team carefully, one could tell that when certain players a ...

Yesterday was the day I was satisfied with the play of Sulley Muntari. He needs to work on his temperament and he will go places.
muntari is guilty of too many predicatable long hasty passes especially in the 1st half. he cuts out creativity in the midfield. however generally he put up one of his best performances for ghana.
if he can cut out that gha ...

Muntari created two crucial goals and scored one himself. What else do you want?
@ GHANABA1 are you really a Ghanaian, wht do you know about football?. Gyan did not say anything wrong. he only say Waris is a good match for him. cos ever since Ch. Appiah started pairing GYAN and WARIS everything is going o ...

jordan keep working surely your chances will soon come, ghanaians are please with your inclusion in the team, the today's black stars and tomorrow's will surely be built with you as a main man
Osei Tawiah never predicts wrong. People rained insults at me when I suggested that Jordan should be sent to the Satellites to train as a captain just like his brother. Dede was heading the Jordan way before he was rescued by ...

iniesta and messi, don bortey and Charles tailor, okocha and tony yegoaler, etc. gyan said nothing wrong
The few times the ball got to him yesterday, he looks suspect...remember that corner, he was completely beaten.....Give Kwarasey a chance
Have you just forgotten so soon that Kwarasey's chronic problem is air balls, especially corner kicks? Kingston also has the same problem with corner kicks. Fatau is better than the both of them when it comes to corner kicks.
i have maintained that all the 3 goal keepers chosen since 2005 are not good. they were very bad goal keepers during their supposedly hey days. watch how edward ansah, abubakari damba & nasamu yakubu were dealing with corner ...

MY love i lov u keep it up
Joyce, why won't you just give it to him in bed to enhance his performance instead of coming to say it here? lol
Finally we have a coach who understands that Gyan is more efficient playing behind the main striker. He likes to be around the ball, so he comes in deep to collect the ball and therefore needs somebody ahead of him to pass th ...

I will give my siter Joyce to Warris don't worry.
so if the coach gives a player instruction, djan will also go on the pitch giving his own instructions. essien will not talk like this. djan better talk less. at angola 2010 and world cup 2010 he was reluctant to talk.
I believe he is trying to motivate warris and compliment his effort, gyan had a good day
That is leadership. I admire you more now than ever. Above all, I respect you and appreciate you leadership and respect for the game and your nation. May God bless you and your team.
One sad mistake Ghana made in 2006 World cup was to leave out Laryeh Kingston, because of a then pending two match suspension. When one of our three world class midfielders received a second yellow card, we met Brazil with a ...
