A player like Essien, Akaminko and others have just played once during this qualification yet they stand a better chance of playing for the stars at the world cup than a player like Asante or Albet Adomah who has always been with the team. A player is called into the national team, play his part, receive his winning bonus and off he goes. The next crop of players to be called for the next match is purely the right of the coach and this has little to do with patriotism. It is the coach whose head would be on the chopping block when a he failed to live up to expectation. So it boils down to the manager whether to choose patriotism over competence. All that we can do is to offer Kwasi pieces of advice and it ends. Afterall ,he would pay the price alone when he hits the rock.

Most of the players have not any game since they were called. What is the difference between Kevin and those unused players? We should also think about technical team and what they perceive to good decision for the team and the country at large. I understand those will oppose his inclusion; however managing sports can't solely be based on emotion and morals alone. We should think about success. At the end of the day, should Ghana use him and succeeds in winning the world cup who will remember his behavior? We should read about famous sportsmen and sportswomen and we will find that his behavior is nothing.

Sorry, I can understand your anxiety. I think many fans have the same opinion but what is it, when Boateng is, or was really injured? If you remember last match against Zambia, Boateng flied all the way to Kumasi but the coach decided not to fix him because he had some physical problems.
Once Boateng has sent his doctors' reports to the coach of the Black Stars, and with regards of the GFA Boss rallying to Ghanains not to be compassionate to and not condemn Boateng, the GFA has details of Boateng's injury and would not publish that in the Ghanaian Times for you and I to get aware of it. So we have to exercise patience. Definitely, we have a good team now, but one or two more good players would be necessary to sustain the challenge in Brazil.
We all want the best for the Black Stars so we have to do our best to give them a support than dividing them. The tournament at W.C. 2014 is yet to begin and a win over Egypt is not all what we need. Considering the many talented players we have, Ghana is a football power so we should deserve more!

Our levels of patriotism are not the same, especially that we all know PKB is more German than he is Ghanaian. Any in-fighting will sow seeds of disunity in our Camp which can easily be capitalized on by the Egyptians. It is early days yet to start fighting over who is selected and who is not to play at the World Cup. Let us leave the Coach, team and technical handlers in peace so they can concentrate to prepare adequately for the second leg. The Egyptians are desperate now and any in-fighting amongst us will easily be exploited to their advantage. We want to go to Canaan, not see Canaan but cannot step there.

Don't be complacence because the Black Stars won 6-1 against Egypt. There would come a day you wish you had KPB so don't waist your energy on dismantling any good player the coach decides to invite in to help us go places during the World Cup Games in Brazil.. This is not the time for petty minds. Ghana has a very strong team but whatever or whoever can make it better must be welcome. It is more important to have a Black Stars that can compete with top teams like Germany, Spain, Netherlands, Argentina and Brazil than just be satisfied with going to Brazil.
Essentially in Brazil 2014, Ghana must go beyond the quarter final we reached in South Africa 2010 - this is more important. Kevin Prince Boateng is a top class player who every coach would like to have in his team. I don't see the evil he has done for which he must be excluded.
It is no evil to take time off the national team in order to concentrate on one's professional career with one's club. Michael Essien has proved that, this in the long run, is rather in the interest of the nation. Going by the injuries Essien was suffering, if he had not taken time off national duties to concentrate on his club career, he would not have been in shape to be just the right man for today. We all saw his play last Tuesday; he was in top shape - very strong, very skilful and very enthusiastic.
Let us allow the coach to do his job. He has proved that he can do the job so let's leave him alone.If the coach finds Kevin suitable, and I believe he will if Kevin is not injured, it is good.

Mr Kof Manu Ghana is on the verge of qualifying and the next phase will be pitching seasoned players against the likes of Spain etc. In my opinion if Kevin and Essien were in the 2010 world cup, Ghana would have made history by being the first African Nation to reach at least the semi-final. Are you saying Kumasi Stadium is anywhere comparable to the types of Stadia these guys play on and so they must not complain? When Essien was getting day-in-day-out fielding at Chelsea didn't he turn his back on the stars. Were you in hibernation? Do you think Kwesi Appiah is so stupid to see the relevance of some of these players. He shouldn't blame anyone when he's dropped! Because he cannot expect other team members to toil for qualification, only for him to join the squad in the last minute.
I cannot make decisions for Coach Kwasi Appiah or the GFA. But one thing is certain; Kevin Boateng has not shown the kind of commitment that would warrant his selection to the WC next year. In my opinion, he shouldn't blame anyone should the coach decide to drop him from the squad.
Whatever decision the Coach and his bench will make may cause some stir among Ghanaian fans, some of whom may want to protest etc. It would be a painful decision that Coach Appiah would probably have to make considering how tough he is. Our Coach may seem to be soft-spoken, yet he's tough. At least this is my own observation. I don't intend to cause any confusion here.
Team selection and others are the sole prerogative of the Coach---there's no dispute about that!

Otherwise, (1) A player we all saw playing and scoring 2 goals for AC Milan on a Wednesday, fly down to sign for Schalke 04 the next day or so, plays one of his best games for Schalke on Saturday and Wednesday, gets invited for the Black Stars match against Zambia, and the technical team,GFA and the media tells he would be unable to play due to an injury he sustained months ago.
(2) Kevin made it clear that our football field is hard so affects his knee when he plays. So the Question is, why would Kwesi Appiah still invite him for the Egypt game in Kumasi in the first place for him to give another of his useless excuses.
(3) Read the last Graphic Sports edition that published the Kevin injury before the Ghana-Egypt game and you will realise that whoever has been tasked to make sure Kevin gets a 2nd WC appearance is doing a great job.
