South African satellite channel SuperSport International has agreed to pay in excess of R2-billion (approximately US$285-million) for the TV, mobile and internet rights for the country’s
Premier Soccer League (PSL) over the next five years. SuperSport has signed a US$2.5 million deal with the Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) to secure the broadcasting rights to the country's top soccer league.
The deal will run from 2011 to 2013. Nigeria's top domestic soccer league has secured a four-year broadcast deal with SuperSport reported as worth US$34 million in total.
The Ugandan Super League (USL),has inked a US$5 million, 5year broadcast deal with South African-based sports channel SuperSport.
South African pay-TV operator SuperSport has agreed a broadcast deal with the Football Kenya Federation (FKF), the deal will see SuperSport provide live coverage of 20 matches from Kenya’s
second division, starting with Wednesday’s match between Nakumatt FC and Moyas FC, until the end of the current season. The Tusker Premier League, the highest level of club soccer in Kenya,
has signed a three-and-a-half year deal with Puma. The deal, which is worth US$117,000 overall, will see Puma sponsor and supply match balls used in the league. "The partnership between KPL and Puma will cost Kshs ten million over three and a half years.
“Each team will be provided with balls while Puma will gain on pitch side branding and as well on the broadcasting point of view SuperSport will be able to capture the brand.”
East Africa Breweries Limited's (EABL) Tusker brand has been announced as the new title sponsor of the Kenyan Premier League (KPL). The multi-year agreement, worth US$1.96 million overall,
sees the top flight of soccer within Kenya officially known as the Tusker Premier League for the next three years.
Kenyan Premier League (KPL) sides Mathare United and Ulinzi Stars have announced new sponsorship deals with Puma and Metropolitan Life respectively.
Mathare United's one-year apparel deal with Puma sees the German sports manufacturer supplying the soccer team with boots, replica merchandise to sell to fans as well as playing and training kit.
The combined value of Puma's contribution will total US$34,000. Meanwhile KPL champions Ulinzi Stars, a soccer team made up of the country's military servicemen, have signed a US$17,000 deal with Metropolitan Life Insurance.
The Zambian Super Division is also sponsored by MTN Zambia, which in June announced a 2.4 billion kwacha (about US$480 000), as their sponsorship package this year for both Chipolopolo and the top-flight league with the winner of the championship race getting about US$50 000.
With Dynamos collecting US$75 000, for winning the Premiership title last year under the sponsorship deal between the PSL and Delta Beverages through their Castle Lager brand, it appears the domestic Premiership is still, to some extent, better sponsored compared to the one in Zambia.
The Kenyan Premier League is operated and run as a private limited company incorporated in October 2003 under the Companies Act of Kenya. It is fully owned and managed by the 16 member clubs with each club being a shareholder
KPL and SuperSport signed a $5.5 million four-year partnership deal, the biggest football sponsorship in the country and in the region. The deal
which is expected to expire in 2011 will see a renegotiated contract double that amount to $11 million.
WHITE JERSEY!
HERE IS MY SUGGESTION.
THIS WHITE SHIRT MUST HAVE A COLLAR. THE JERSEY MUST ALSO HAVE LONG BLACK, TINY STRIPES THROUGHOUT FOR BOTH THE SHIRT AND SHORTS AND WHITE HOES. THE GFA LOGO MUST MUST BE EMBEDDED INSIDE A HUGE BLACK STAR ON THE LEFT/CHEST AREA.
HERE IS MY SUGGESTION. THE RED N YELLOW JERSEY SHOULD BE MAINTAINED, BUT WITH WHITE SHORTS. IF IN DOUBT, YOU CAN CONTACT OZWALD BOATENG IN THE UK FOR ASSISTANCE. GFA, DONT BE LAZY AND MEDIOCRE.
IF YOU PUT MORE WORK IN AN APPEALING JERSEY/KIT. IT WILL BE REPLICATED IN THE SELLING OF THESE JERSEYS.

You are the type of empty brains that let Ghana remain a begger country for all the while Ghana claims to be 1st to attain independence south of Sahara. Let me remind you if you were too young to know this; Ghanaians who were driven to Nigeria cos of hunger at the peak of your useless revolution engaged in house to house rubish collections & prostitution to survive. People like you will continue to swim in poverty cos all you know is to run others down with foul language which adds no bread to your table. 'Pull Him Down' fools.

the founding fathers of nigeria, who toiled and whose blood watered the tree of freedom would be disappointed with what has become of the country they left behind for us to nurture.
in terms of real growth, except perhaps population growth, almost every country that attained independence around the same time your nigeria did has left them behind.
on the eve of your 53rd birthday as a self-governing state, the economist intelligence unit (EIU), a sister company of the economist of london, has declared nigeria as the worst country to be born in 2013.
economist, in its Failed States Index, placed nigeria amongst the 10 worst failed states with somalia topping the list. Apart from somalia, nigeria, drc, sudan, south sudan, afghanistan, Zimbabwe (where you buy a loaf of bread with box-loads of Zimbabwean dollars), iraq and pakistan. niger, sri-lanka, bangladesh, burkina faso, equatorial guinea and such other countries you, loser.
in terms of security and corruption, nigeria is ranked last and first respectively in africa because somalia without an effective government is more secured than your toothless nigeria, mr. man.
i know for sure you might even be killed, when you land at the murtalla mohammed airport before you sojourn to shomolu or oshodi or ajenkule or apapa.

Oga yum yun or whatever you call yourself, its regretable people like you who continue to swim in ignorance of happenings around them still exist except what you read from scewed statistics of the same organisations who think like you. Nigeria is not in the same class with Ghana therefore there's reason for comparism. You can goggle on the following to educate yourself about Nigeria if you care; Nigerian Space Programme, Eko Atlantic City, Lagos light train mass project, Lagos underground train project, Lagos elevated mass tram project. these are just a few of what you block head need to know about Nigeria and not the flawed statistics you continue to educate yourself with. Certainly a failed state could not have been developing its infastructure as stated.

it is unfortunate that you don't use your brain effectively, in terms of reasoning, mr man
mr man, i want to make it abundantly clear to you that building infrastructure without an effective use is insignificant.
read to reason, mr man, after building huge infrastructure like the ibadan expressway, murtala mohammed airport and a lot more, are many nigerians still not wallowing in abject poverty and squalor.??
omo ole, you cannot even rebuild the ajegunle, apes3, amokoko, iyana ipaja ghettos, olowu village, the oloti village, the ifako villages, iju, the shomolu ghettos, the akoka ghettos, mile 2 villages and many many filthy places in lagos, abuja, ibadan and many many more despicable places, and you have the audacity to tell the world that you are building raillines and eko atlantic city.
my point is that, you have the above-mentioned ghettos, where the residents reside in makeshits of cartons and plywood on lagoons and ease themselves publicly so it does not make sense to build the eko atlantic city and those elephant projects, oga frank.
why can't the private and public sectors of your economy rebuild those ghettos to help many average nigerian families to have roofs over their heads?
conventional wisdom clearly states that lagos is one of the dirtiest cities in the world, where human beings ease themselves publicly, and many reputable studies have indicated that to support my point of view.
speaking and typing, i would state categorically that the nigerian cities are the only cities in the world, where their health authorities are almost always unwilling to take dead people on their streets, till they decompose.
again and again, nigeria is the only country in the world, where their natives run and fight to board public and private buses or danfo or the so-called molue or kabokabo
indeed, if your economy is booming, why is it that the g20 or the 'brick" does not want you?
why many nigerians are seeking political and economy asylum all over the world?
why nigerians are scramming for the ghanaian international passport?
why the nigerians are not secured in their country because of rampant armed robberies, kidnapping, religious fanaticism (boko haram) and tribalism?
whether you eat the whole of ibadan amala or enugu eba, nigeria is a failed state
hold on, mr man,if ghana does not follow the heartless acts of your wicked and brainless leaders, she would be an economic giant of the west africa in the immediate
i am pinpointing to you again that singapore is a city-state with only a port, nevertheless, the economy there is one of the best in the world.
conversely, nigeria which is endowed with abundant natural resources with huge population is struggling to make ends meet.
in view of all what penned, i would like to make it crystal clear to you that ghana, armed with some natural resources and an effective human capital can be an economic superpower in west africa in future.
please, read all what i have stated critically, and consequently come back to engage in a constructive debate with mr. yum yum.
odaaloo, mr man!!!

You have actually exihibited your negative knowledge Nigeria, by the way have you travelled beyond Nigeria ever.? If you have; you'll discover your stupidity in all that you have written that they are simply borne out of envy. New York is a Super mega city in the US and yet has as many slums where lots blacks dwell. By the way do you live in Accra or where, now follow on the counts of Accra slums starting from Nima, Mamobi, Chorkor, Agbogbloshie, Sodom & Gomora, Agege in Accra, Abuja in the heart of Accra, Teshie, Nungua seaside, Mpoase at Dansoman, Madina Zongo, Zongo in Accra, James town in Accra etc. the list is endless, people living in slums dotted all over Accra the Capital of a country that claim to be 1st to attain independence south of Sahara, its a shame. Now, what is the attraction in acquiring a Ghanaian passport, is it to be Ghanaian or just to travel which is an issue of convenience, a practice which thousands of Ghanaians did when they migrated to Nigeria as economic refugees in 70s & 80s. Your write up shows you have bit of knowledge about Nigeria just I do of Ghana and Ghanaians, Needless to say you are even today an economic slave in your own country going by the large chunk of Ghana's economic & businesses in the hands of foreigners, talk about hosts Nigerian banks employing thousands of Ghanaians, Nigeria media operating in Ghana, Insurance companies, Airline businesses, Plant Pool Heavy Equipment Company, Nigerian fast food joints, Telecom Companies (Glo) FBN just acquiring ICB, Establishment of Ecobank by Chief Lawson of Nigeria, Sahara Oil Company, Ouando oil company, MAS Oil Company and sooo many more Nigerian companies operating and enslaving Ghanaians in their owm country, its a shame you continue to talk about 1st to attain independence. Check Accra out properly you'll discover more than half of Accra dwellers live in Zongos and slums dotted everywhere, probably you do too, so pls open your eyes and stop disrespecting Nigerians who provide you and a large population of this country their daily bread.

are you not ashamed to state that moving your lucrative businesses to a foreign country is a prestige?
yeah, we are in a global village, so if a sovereign nation embraces a democratic governance, coupled with free enterprise does not necessarily mean that the citizenry of the nation is being enslaved.
are the nigerian companies, not being taxed by the government of ghana?
it is amazing to state that many nigerian manufacturing companies are moving to ghana because nigeria with all her abundant natural resources cannot have a stable electricity.
and no nation can have a solid manufacturing base and sustainable socio-economic development, if she is not secured and does not have electricity.
to be frank, a learned fool like you would proudly state that ghanaians are being enslaved for working in nigerian firms in the country but it is a blessing in disguise, as it paves way enormously to mitigate the unemployment rate in ghana.
furthermore, ghana, as an enlightened nation, armed with an intelligent and brilliant human capital has systematically laid down effective labour laws in the country, which consequently protect the citizenry from any labour enslavement or abuse.
mr. man, it is recalled that the nigerian government, one time invited issifu ali, a renowned ghanaian trade unionist and the former leader of the vociferous and fearless trade union congress of ghana to advise the federal government of nigeria on numerous labour issues confronting nigeria during the shagari regime.
i have been reading the literature of many labour issues in nigeria, so i comprehend, what i am typing about, mr man.
your infrastructure is poor, upon all the resources at your disposal, so we want you guys to bring your capital to the country and be taxed accordingly as this would go a long way to reduce the unemployment rate in ghana and increase the one of nigeria.
it is laughable to see nigerians boasting that the country is rich but are not secured there.
i had a nigerian friend in toronto, who hailed from shagamu, and almost always boasted that he would be the happiest man to fly to nigeria, his fatherland but instantly, he landed at the murtalla mohammed airport, heading towards the historic town of shagamu, he was murdered in a cold blood by the notorious armed robbers of eko.
may his soul rest in perfect peace because he was a good man.
ghanaians are tolerant, however they are not going to allow you to soil the cherished name of their beautiful and peaceful country.
the late zik, nzeribe and many reputable political leaders, who helped your country to gain political independence had their political training in ghana.
lest, i forget, without ghana, you might still be in the bush of anambra or rivers or akwa ibom or oshun or oyo or ogun or edo or delta or cross river or aba or niger or plateau or kano or kaduna or soloto or borno or yobe or whatever fighting and hoping against hope to survive.
mr. man, read my piece critically and come back to engage in a discourse with us again..
odaaloo, mr man!!
thank our Olorun for ghana mediating the bianfra civil war between the federal government of nigeria, headed by gowon and the bianfrans led by the late ojukwu at the aburi gardens, ghana.

From DENNIS MERNYI, Abuja
Nigerians will experience a week-long electricity rationing that will put the country into darkness for the period. This will be the longest period in recent years that the country would be faced with blackout.
The development is coming few days after the Federal Government declared that its hand-over of the assets and facilities of PHCN including generation and distribution plants to private firms was successful.
The authorities had explained that the problem was due to the loss of 400 megawatts following repair works being carried out by the Shell Petroleum Development Company (SPDC), the major suppliers of gas to the power plants particularly Afam VI Power plant.
The management of Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) in a statement in Abuja yesterday said there would be a reduction in generation output by 400mw, from today to Saturday, November 9, 2013. According to the statement, "this is due to the Shell Petroleum Development Company's (SPDC) scheduled maintenance work on Okoloma gas plant supplying gas to Afam VI Power Plant, thereby leading to the shutdown of the power plant, resulting in nationwide power rationing."
It explained further that the shutdown of Afam VI power plant became necessary to allow SPDC inspect and carry out routine maintenance work on the Okoloma natural gas station in Afam, Rivers State, to ensure its technical integrity.
"Maintenance work on Okoloma gas plant, SPDC revealed was important to guarantee continuous and uninterrupted supply of gas to Afam VI for power generation into the national grid."

ENUGU—Tragedy struck in Enugu Saturday night when the Kwara State Commissioner of Police, Mr. Chinwike Asadu, was shot dead by unknown gunmen.
His police orderly, Aloha Olaniyi and Driver, Oliver Omeh, who were with him at the time of the incident sustained serious bullet wounds and are said to be lying critically at the National Orthopaedic Hospital, Enugu.
The incident occurred at Amorji Nike, near the densely populated Abakpa Nike area in Enugu East local government area within the state capital at about 10 pm.
The Police Commissioner, who reportedly visited his home in Enugu at the weekend, was driving into his private residence when the assailants who may have laid an ambush around his residence attacked him and his aides about 100 metres away from his house.

CP Asadu, according to sources, had a visitor whom he escorted along with his driver and a police orderly posted to guard his residence from Abakpa Police Division, leaving behind the official escort team that came with him from Kwara State Police Command.
They were returning to the house after dropping the visitor when they suddenly noticed a bus trailing them behind as they branched into his street only for the gunmen to start firing at the vehicle from the rear.
The gunmen were said to have shot sporadically killing the CP and wounding the two policemen but before they escaped, they reportedly took away the rifle of the orderly whose body was riddled with bullets.
The orderly was shot on the chest, stomach, hands and leg while the driver was shot on his legs.
“The CP was driving into his personal residence in Amorji Nike after dropping a visitor that night. He was with a police orderly and his driver at the time of the incident. Just about 100 metres to his house they noticed that a bus was trailing them behind and before they could know what was happening the gunmen opened fire and killed the CP instantly. His orderly and driver were also shot and they were seriously wounded.
“The gunmen ran away in their bus before the CP’s escort team that was inside his compound noticed what was happening. When the escort team and sympathizers rushed to the scene, they met CP Asadu and his orderlies in a pool of blood. They were rushed to the National Orthopaedic Hospital where doctors confirmed the CP dead. The other two policemen are now on admission at the hospital,” said the source.
The State Police Public Relations Officer, Mr. Ebere Amaraizu confirmed the incident when Vanguard contacted him yesterday, describing the attack as very unfortunate. He said that the CP was on a private visit to his home in Enugu when the incident occurred.
According to him, the police would do everything possible to fish out the assailants as investigations into the bizarre incident have already commenced.
The new Police Commissioner in Enugu State, Mr. Tonye Ebitibituwa, was said to have directed his men to conduct serious manhunt for the gunmen within and outside the state capital in order to track them down without delay.
Meanwhile, doctors at the National Orthopeadic Hospital, Enugu are battling to save the two wounded police officers. The orderly who was seriously battered by bullets, according to doctors, was said to be in a stable condition after the surgeries conducted on him throughout Saturday night. The driver was also said to be in a stable condition.

BROTHERMI,
I am so excited that Ghanaian ladies are taking many of the Nigerian men from their wives and girlfriends because recently, many sexual studies have indicated that Ghanaian ladies take their shower twice and sometimes thrice and clean their 'totos' or vaginas very well than Nigerian ladies.
Ghanaian ladies are smart and can utilize any means to fool Nigerian men and the whole world knows that. Using money to chase a woman does not make you a WHOLE-BODIED MAN. Never purchase sex, brothermi.

BROTHERMI,
NIGERIA IS A TOOTHLESS GIANT IN AFRICA. AS A MATTER OF FACT, IF THE ECONOMY OF THE COUNTRY IS SOUND, AS YOU WANT THE WORLD TO KNOW, WHY MANY NIGERIANS ARE OVER THE WORLD STRUGGLING TO SURVIVE?
SECOND QUESTION, BROTHERMI:
WHY THE GDP OF NIGERIA IS VERY POOR?
THIRD QUESTION, BROTHERMI:
WHY NIGERIANS EAT, WHERE THERE IS TOILET OR SHIIT, ESPECIALLY THE LAGOSIANS?
FORTH QUESTION, BROTHERMI:
WHY SOME TRIBES IN THE SOUTH SOUTH EAST STILL PRACTICE CANNIBALISM?
5TH. QUESTION, BROTHERMI:
WHY THE NIGERIAN SOLDIERS ARE VERY WEAK, UPON ALL THE RESOURCES AT THEIR DISPOSAL. A CLASSICAL EXAMPLE OF THE WEAKNESS IS HOW A MERE BOKO HARAM HAS BEEN ROUTING THEM CONSISTENTLY.
MY LAST QUESTION TO YOU, BROTHERMI IS: WHY MANY NIGERIANS IN ALL FACETS OF LIFE ARE NOT DISCIPLINED, ESPECIALLY IN SPORTS, ACADEMIC, MILITARY, POLITICS AND ECONOMICS?
LEST I FORGET, YOU ARE SUFFERING AND SMILING BECAUSE IN YOUR COUNTRY, THERE IS NO FREEDOM. IT IS EVEN SCARY TO DRIVE A NICE CAR IN THERE AS THERE FREQUENT ARMED ROBBERIES, KIDNAPPING AND RAPING. AND TO ADD INSULTS TO INJURIES YOU CANNOT EVEN 'PARTY' IN THE NIGHT, SO TELL ME, WHERE LIES YOUR HAPPINESS AND LIBERTY IN YOUR COUNTRY OF BIRTH?
STAY-TURNED, BROTHERMI..
