Whether we need a technical director or not must be decided by AA and the boys who are doing the job.I always say the success of AA or any better trainer will rest on the will power of the boys who are curious to go to Brazil.At the moment thing are working fine and we the outsiders cannot tell what is right for them.Even if you bring Alex Fergussn,Mourhino or Low it will still be nonsensical if the boys are not ready to co-operate.To me,the success of AA can be gleaned from the angle of his good human relationship with the boys.This was a point which put me off in the decision to appoint a local trainer but they have proved me wrong and things appear to be working fine and each one is happy.We should allow AA and the boys to decide and may confirm or reject Ben Kouffie's assertion.Maybe they need it,who knows?

I have one worry though. I live in South Africa and I learnt that our national goal-keeper, Fatau Dauda, is in the employ of the Premier Soccer League club here called Orlando Pirates who are in the finals of the African Champions League. Strangely enough, I have never seen Fatau on the reserve bench or list of substitutes of his new club. Neither has the coach , Roger de Sa, ever said a word about him in an interview! What is going on? Was he really registered by Pirates? Has he got his work permit? I'm worried. Any explanation from K Appiah?

What problem do we want to solve with a Technical Director? Even before and since 2006 when we began to successfully qualify for the world cup, we have always had a coach without any Technical Director. The practice we have always adopted is to appoint a coach and if he is doing well, we allow in to continue otherwise we fire him and appoint another. Technical Director has never come as an issue.
Perhaps the only thing that has changed now is that, the coach now is a Ghanaian or a Serbian, European, foreigner. It looks like this is what some people appear to be seeing as a problem which they want to solve by the appointment of a foreign Technical Director to supervise the Ghanaian coach even though he is performing so well - he has virtually qualified the Stars to Brazil 2014.
This is an indication that we still don't believe the "black man" is capable and even if he is doing well, some can't believe it. This is shameful and dump thinking.
The only sensible to do is: if the coach is doing well, and indeed he is, he takes us to Brazil; if the coach is not doing well, and this is false for Akwasi Appiah, a new coach is appointed and not a Technical Director.
