Abedi, Polo, Osei Kofi, Ibrahim Sunday and even Stephen Appiah are all ready to help even for free. Kwame founded the team and called it "The Black Stars" It is a political tool not only to promote peace among Africans but to fight against imperialism and colonialism, to demonstrate that what ever we set our minds to do, we can do it with distinstion. If "they" are afraid, let them stay back with the "women" We are going all the way with AA incharge, surrounded by great soccer players like Gyan, Esien, KPB, Ayew, Muntari, K Asamoah, etc. They are not only there to play, they assist AA in many ways, it is collective effort and that is what we need from all sectors of the country.

It sure mustsay something about Ghanaian coaches if the 4 times we won the African Cup of Nations, now called CAN was with Ghanaian coaches. CK Gyamfi(1963,1965, 1982)_and Osam Duodu (1978).
Furthermore, under Kwasi Appiah the Black Stars are actually playing to win, not playing not to lose.
In my opinion, no Technical Director is needed. Let Kwasi run his team, if you don't like the results fire him... I am die hard Accra Hearts of Oak fan, but Kwasi Appiah was one of my favorite players..Mayanga they called him...a very tough defender but well spoken and quite the gentleman.

We can handle our own affairs, as Nkrumah tried to drum into our heads and demonstrated it with C.K. Gyamfi and the Black Stars at the time.

However, you did not need your British friend's input on Africans fixing cars and tampering with engines. That was NOT necessary and would appreciate you steer away from that inferiority complex of yours.

I can also inform you that there are several AFRICAN HANDS that are more than capable of putting engines and fixing them much more than some Europeans......even in Europe, as I write on this forum.

Please go to Kumasi Magazine and you will see better things than the cheap wayside mechanics you chose to employ. That is what happens if you cut corners and want cheap stuff........
And that is the case everywhere in the world and not only with 'African hands'............please don't fall for such comments to make you as an individual feel the need to attack and paint your own people as incompetent.

Apart from that, point taken, and Ghana will beat Egypt 1 nil and go on to WIN the world cup under Kwesi Appiah and his Ghanaian technical team.

But even more important is the fact that too much emphasis is being placed on an event for which we have not arrived at i.e. qualifying for Brazil. The european gurus that are being targeted for such positions are the very ones who will tell you, "I will like to be in Brazil but, at the moment, I have a very important match to play, a very important one for that matter therefore, I want to focus on the forth-coming match....." We haven't qualified yet!! Let's concentrate on the next match.

the GFA has done very well by introducing professor mintah but this writer will agree with me that nasamu yakubu does not come anywhere near either joseph carr or simon addo interms of pedigree, exposure and skills both as a goal keeper and a trainer for goalkeepers.
to the writer, i think he was a little partisan here. i once read his writeup on baba yara and i enjoyed it a lot. i also remember that name as a columnist in the mirror or graphic as a small boy when i look at pictures but not read. He should have told us that Coach C. K. Gyamfi played for Accra Hearts of Oak as well. With hearts he won the first primiership trophy with the late HP Nyametei as head. check the saga of accra hearts oak.
thirdly, the writer must be honest. we met brazil in 2006 without our best player Michael Essien. That team was not as formidable as we continue to deceive ourselves. that team made it to the second round largely because a certain underrated oldman was in the post called into the team @ the last minute due to the the subtle media war sarfo abebrese launced at the time. against Brazil, the Brazilian sat back to allow us to play. they were sympathetic throughout. they did not exert themselves. they knew we were mistake proned so they waited to captalise on them when we committed them. Cafu was all smiles at certain times of the game. we were no match.

He overlooks all categories and levels of football, does the national planning by setting specific goals and training programmes and outlining national objectives. What he can do or cannot do will be laid down in his terms of reference. So why does everybody fear that post. If you think Kwasi Appiah is qualified for the post then give it to him but don’t object to the creation of the position.

oooh My brother is it not simple logic that when we bring foreigners we are able to get kick backs easily. thats why we've collapsed all our factories. after dealing with a foreigner makes it easy to enrich our pockets with the ordinary Ghanaian knowing what comes into the pockets of a few. when they deal with fellow Ghanians the world will get to know easily the monies that goes into some few ones pocket. hence the woes of Ghanaian. We always go for the so called strategic INVESTORS when we intend to enrich our pockets and pay them up-front but what happens to our local investors (especially contractors)
