Coach Appiah, greetings to you. I am not sure if you’re able to read my piece but a couple of my guys all made some suggestions which i agree with.

Is it possible for us to try out the 5-3-2 B or 3-5-2 formation? Basically, it is 3 central backs, and 2 wing men who will alternate between the flanks and midfield, while they provide support to lateral side of defence. And then 3 midfielders and 2 forwards.

LWB/LWM–Kwadwo has excelled in this role and can execute the job at left side. A player who has speed, can track back, and has good control and possession can take the right side. I’ll keep my suggestions to myself :-)

The three midfielders can be drafted to play;

1.traditional role with one being used as CAM.
2.traditional role with one being used as CDM(Will help tigthen backline)

We have world class men for above proposal.

Attack needs no further emphasis… babyjet is on fire, he will blend well with three promising attackers(names withheld :-) )

NOW,Our strength can come from three strong defenders.. I know we have all being talking about our defensive system but with I.V,J.B,J.M,J.M,J.A,R.S as central defenders, I believe three experienced strong men among them can be drafted to do the job at the highest level.

KWARASEY VS DAUDA…to be continued :-)

If GHANA HAS A STRONG DEFENCE,LIKE THE LAST WORLD CUP,IN SOUTH AFRICA,and having the strongest midfield dynamos in the world cup,the defenders can defend well,hand the ball to the midfield players,who will,in turn disfranchise/disorganize their opponents,to pass to the strikers,as quickly as possible.
Before the opponents defenders will reorganize themselves to defend,they might have been outwitted by our strikers already.
Mind you,both KEVIN & MUNTARI can also strike very good,therefore,their presence to help the strikers to put pressure on the opponents defence,will be a plus,in the attacking machinery,that defensive mechanism,could be used in the whole attack.
THAT IS ONE OF MY SUGGESTION,ASIDE USING:
ATTACKING TO DEFEND.
Because the most effective defensive mechanism ever known,is rather to attack.

I'm listening to Peace 104.3FM where the panel on the Sports program are suggesting that there's no need for Coach Appiah to upgrade ahead of the WC-2014. I'm not very certain about the excitement of the three-man panelists in suggesting that since our honourable coach has succeed in qualifying Black Stars he doesn't need to know any modern techniques.

The notion is being created that by merely qualifying to the WC, we will be a major force in the tournament. Ghanaians must be awake and understand that knowledge is power! The Europeans who have the well organised and biggest leagues in the world continue to seek improvement and knowledge by constantly hiring more talents in order to progress. Nobody should be deceived into thinking that just by qualifying for the WC, everything is okay! A lot of our sports commentators seem excited when the get on air, by making weird suggestions. There's a lot of things to learn ahead of the WC and allowing our Hon. Coach to upgrade is the best thing we can do for ourselves.

It's an honour rather than the opposite, for our Sports Ministry and GFA to sponsor Coach Appiah to have quick refresher courses ahead of the WC. It's not only for the WC but the long-term goal. Let all Ghanaians support our Coach and the GFA and our sports authorities for towards our preparation programs ahead of the WC.

How many higher ranked teams than Ghana has Akwasi Appiah led the Black Stars to play against and won? These should be in the friendly matches as only Ivory Coast is ranked higher in Africa and we have not played them.

Countries like Egypt, Lesotho and Zambia were all ranked lower.

If we struggled to beat teams like Mali, Cape Verde, Burkina Faso and DR Congo, how are we going to win against any of the teams in FIFA Group G?

In fact, how many European, South American and Asian teams has Appiah played against and defeated? What makes him think the World Cup is going to be any different?

With the kind of defence and goalkeeping we have, some serious tactics will have to be adopted.

Remember Czech Republic were #2 in the world when we played them? What happened? The USA has always been above Ghana in the rankings but which country eliminated USA in the last 2 world cups? GHANA.
