Anan is very good player who is also cool and collected. He is not one of those "I have retired" players. He is very disciplined and gets along very well with other players, he is also very humble.

Annan if fit and well can displace any of our defensive midfielder including Essien. The good thing is if Annan fit Essien can move slightly forward (traditional 8) whiles Annan covers the defence.

That's 9 traditional defenders on the team jst to name a few.

I think at this stage he may be a fit against a team like say USA but with Portugal & Germany, will we really need him that much?

Anyway I wish him luck but I think his time on the team seems to be past

If he is truly recovered and not just pretending to be part of the squad, then his experience is needed. He was excellent in the 2010 World Cup and we need that experience to count on in case of any injury (God forbid).
