In some cases, directives are given by the prophet to follow. It has no money involved and if any at all, it's something that will not come to the prophet. In such situation, the people involved will be satisfied with the outcome and it makes sense to pat the back of the prophet at the end of it all. But in a situation where the prophet starts demanding money and issuing threats etc, that's a red flag right there. Hope I'm very clear?
