Is Ghana this rich? Paying a bonus of $9,000 per player. This must be the highest payment per player at CHAN. I am sure each player will get as much as $50,000 should they win the competition. in reality, such payments end up distracting the players. Nigeria has realized this problem and despite the petrol-dollar, I doubt if each eagle at CHAN can get up to $2,500 per match. The story may however change if they win the competition, though we all doubt their abilities. Ghana could do well to use such funds to fight unemployment and provide social amenities.

All these problems are there and yet the govt is able to find money to pay $9000 each to 23 footballers just for qualifying for the next round of a competition...this is insanity at its highest..the total amount of $207,000 can purchase a mortuary fridge to serve a large population while some can also bye about 100 beds for the hospital...im sorry for Ghana that our priorities are misplaced
