  SOLO U RIGHT THE MINISTER SHOULD SACK HIM NOW COS WE HAVE TO START PREPERATIONS FOR THE COMMONWEALTH GAMES.HE therefore appealed to all boxing stakeholders to come together and kick the current GABF President out and voted competent leaders to take over. He is also appealing to the National Sports Authority to release dates for the next GABF elections which must be held before May.

  We all know that the man (Quarcoo) is not good enough for the job but how come you people who voted him into office did not perceive that this man was not going to deliver?

  The answer to this is that you only voted for him because he is perceived to have money which you mistakenly thought he would mobilize to improve your circumstances. That is the thinking of lazy senseless people who would always live to regret their folly.
  
  Next time, put on your thinking caps before you elect officials to manage the boxing association. It is in the interest of everyone associated with amateur boxing and who is interested in the meaningful development of the sports, to scout for potential and capable candidates for various positions in the association. And at the next elections make sure that there are at least three viable candidates to choose from for all positions.
  
  The sports sector itself is full of incompetent, useless and clueless characters who really have no business being anywhere there. From all the Associations through the Sports Authority to the Ministry and Ministers, most of the heads, executives and managers are third rate people who would not, under ordinary circumstances, be considered for appointment to head other national and parastatal institutions in govt.
  
  This real but unfortunate situation has always been so since the govt of Kwame Nkrumah was overthrown in 1966 and that is why our excellent standing in local as well as international sports started to fall headlong from then.
  
  Now here we are at an all-time low to the extent that, as a country that was one of the top and most feared amateur boxing nations in the world, today we cannot even assemble an average quality amateur boxing team to represent Ghana in international tournaments. As for winning medals, it has become a remote and distant dream.
  
  When Kwame Nkrumah stated on the eve of independence that the African must be given the chance to manage or mismanage their own affairs like all other human beings, I dont think that he could have ever imagined in his worse dreams that the African - or in this case, the Ghanaian would ever sink so low into the doldrums where we now find ourselves. What a tragedy!!!
