The fact that you played at the highest level does not pass you for a scout. Neither should we copy sheepishly.Nigeria does it, so does that mean we should also do same? Who are Nigerians. Tweaaaaaaa! Are they are co-equal. Another act of mediocrity on display. Like coach like scout.

  Could you please list those "degree of expertise" required by scouts that Appiah does not POSSESSES? While you are at it, name at least two Ghanaians who qualify to be scouts by your definition. I am waiting....

  Scouting job require playing at highest level and having a coaching experience and in fact had coached a team or coaching a team. Stephen Appiah had played at the highest level he had not played nor have been around a team for the past two years he has no club.
  
  These guys Yaw Preko, Joe Addo, CK Akonnor and Augustine Ahinful have that degree of expertise.
  
  Stephen Appiah is a motivate and inspire he would be better serve the team with that skill set.

  The reason one take a coaching train is to help one to read the game look for loop holes in opposing and come out with the right sub. I believe you have heard the term we lost the game from the bench. The coach sub made the difference.
  
  You can't send an untrained General to lead an army.

  An over-zealous officer might detain our dear "Tornado" and he may accidentally end up in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba and be released of course after the World Cup.
