With this arrangement between Dauda and Yakubu, he Yakubu will always choose Dauda ahead of other goalkeepers.

Coach AA should stick to his policy and exclude players not playing regularly for their clubs from going to South Africa. The bribe allegation against Coaches in Blackstars seems real if what Yakubu is saying is true

I would think Fatau is the goalie that needs more training and friendlies than the other goalies. The guys will make you panic several times playing like volleyball. He cannot handle a ball, it's not just about punching.

Remember WC 2010. "Super Tactician" MILO knew of the shortcomings of Olele and tried to correct most of them. That curling shot taken epertly by Diego Forlan was the type MILO could not successfully correct. It was this infamous shot and Baby Jet's impatience with the penalty shot, together with "Cannibal" Suarez antics that prevented the famous Black Stars from qualifying for the semi-finals of WC 2010. After the fatal penalty shootout , MILO was heard saying that he did not have enough time to replace Olele with Stephen Ahorlu for the penalty shootout ordeal. Did he think Ahorlu was better at grabbing penalties than Olele? Thats the problem. The coach must act strategically always in order to win the glory.

Lets see how Brazil is solving the goalie problem. Surprisingly Scolari thinks Julio Cesar is the best goalkeeper in the land. Ironically Queen's Park Rangers Football Club in England thinks that Julio Cesar is the number 3 goalie in the team. As such Julio Cesar has almost zero playing time for QPR. To solve this problem, Felipe Scolari makes sure that they feature Julio Cesar between the pipes for all the friendly and trial soccer matches.

It could be that Pirates first choice is damn good than Dauda but the later can still be better than those we have. We all remember Olele pretty well. The guy warmed bench for almost every game in his days at Birmingham, Wigan and Blackpool yet he was our number one from 2006 to 2012. Let's be very careful the way we dealing with this Dauda issue and judge by the performance of these keepers in Ghana goal post.

At the end of the day, Kwarsey is going to start at WC. The only thing is that Appiah will not hesitate to change the goalie on a game to game basis. If Kwarsey has a bad game, Adams or Duada can easily be called in.

These two players have one common attribute. And that is experience.

They possess and command locker room presence in that department.
Currently, the duo, by no fault of theirs occupy the same status as Dauda>>>Inconsistencies in their deliberations as a well seasoned footballers, (at least, prior to the Brazil fracas)notably, bench warming that breeds fitness issues.

Can we therefore take Dauda along and leave the other two behind?
That is what I mean by a gross miscarriage of football justice.

Consequently, I don't think Dauda is being treated anyway different from the way we as fans treat matters arising.

Inactivity does not mean he should be picked ahead of people who day in day out are on the pitch playing.Someone like Kwaresey should rather be the first goalkeeper to be picked cause he has been playing every week, sharpening up his reflexes. Remember the worrld cup is against world class players. Judging by the coaches argument then Olele should have a chance of going to the world cup because he has had the experience of performing at the world stage on two consecutive campaings. Yakubu what do you think about this?Selection should be on merit and performance not on past performance.

Interesting times indeed. This coach wants us to believe Dauda does not need to be part of this friendly because he has already sealed his place. I want to find out from him (coach) if Dauda sealed his place before the likes of Asamoah Gyan, Kelvin Prince Boateng, Agyemang Badu, Kojo Asamoah, Micheal essien, Dede Ayew etc who are all part of the team for this friendly. Clearly, it looks like the coach has something to hide. Probably he has collected some cash from Dauda and wants to give him some assurance about him still being part of the team. On the whole, i believe this is the best crop of players ever invited by any of our National Team Coaches in decades. Aside Albert Adomah (i guess that guys sister is Akwesi Appiah's girlfriend or family relation), who i believe should have been replaced by Anthony Annan, i believe the coach was spot on with his called up squad.

I know for some time now friendly matches has not been friendly to him at all as he was smashed with 3 goals this past weekend against a Russian team; that is a goalie most people are calling for to be the number one choice for Ghana.
For Stephen Adams, it is either he proves he a revelation or passer-by.
Fatau Dauda is already known; his prowess, weakness and confidence are already known by almost all Ghanaians.
March 5th will tell us a story of the two Adams in relation to Dauda.
