Society needs someone at a point in time to decide and to act otherwise. That makes any group and society at large better. He is matured, and it takes maturity to act different for an established culture or behaviour.

It seems you love soccer but, I don't think you have ever played competitive football or really understand it. As a good footballer, you don't fight your fans, but you rather "appease" them. The fans want good soccer and victory and will praise you for that. On the other hand they will criticize and tease you if you fail to deliver. What Dede should could have done was to talk to his friend and calm him down, instead of attacking the fans. As a footballer you don't know when you will mess up woefully, and your fans will attempt to "crucify" you.(Go and ask Asamoah Gyan).. Who is the selfless and good leader?,Dede?. This is a leader who once insulted Appiah for replacing him. This is a leader who "dragging his feet" to play for black stars because Jordan was dropped. It took the whole president to convince him to return to black stars.

Frempah, I agree that he was sympathising, but that does not mean that if you sympathise with A, you cannot lash at B in the same situation.
