$2M is exactly what USA government is contributing towards the USA team to Brazil. U.S.A will definitely spend more than 2 million but the rest will come from the soccer federation which is independent from USA government, the same thing GFA is supposed to do.

What does Afriyie Ankrah meant by "We want to raise money through corporate sponsorship to take a few supporters – the recognized groups – to Brazil". By the way who are the so-called "recognized groups"? I doubt the integrity of this Afriyie Ankrah in the sense that with 12 or 13-weeks for the commencement of the tournament, this fundraising from corporation and individuals should have started long time ago to achieve its desire results. It is not workable and achievable in the present state of private sector economy.

The government should not have to extend its hands for sponsorship from anywhere, A special "World-Cup Brazil Lottery" could have been set up long time ago to raise such funds and winners from that scheme would have been automatic supporters to go to Brazil to cheer the Black Stars. We have to use our brains sometimes than always looking for freebees which always benefits the not needed individuals in the society. Oh mother Ghana, do you have brainy chaps managing the affairs of the country? E&OE.

There has never been anytime that the government has announced they were going to sponsor supporters to world cup and other events outside, but they do so anyway. Hopefully this is not another LIES AS USUAL.

This is a very good decision, most schools in the villages are in poor state and l think that money can be channeled there. We can even do more by reducing the money paid to the players in such tournament.
