Ghanaians have unfortunately been trapped in the euphoria of dead and fogottened quarter final exploit in South Africa by the Black Stars, on the last four years to an extent killing domestic football. Black Stars is all you hear on radio for 24hrs as though no other clubs exist in Ghana. In all of these endless noise; what the Black Stars commentators talk about everyday is about the world cup and what other African countries couldn't do in the last two world cups in Germany & South Africa; a feat in their miopic opinion no one has ever achieved.
Ghanaians fail to understand other African countries like Cameroon, Nigeria, and Senegal were there and they performed creditably in the past when Ghanaians were just spectators. Cameroon and Nigeria's classic performances in the USA opened the door for increase in the slot for Africa to 5 that enabled Ghana to qualify for the first time in Germany. Today Ghana is claiming the best to come from Africa just for the reasons of a quatter finals it reached in South Africa. Retrospectively, what has Ghana achieved in the last 35 years apart from daily radio noise of Suarez's name. Some fools even want FIFA changes its rules for Suarez's incident; that is the extent of stupidity of Ghanaians who errorneously think the best African football exihibits starts and ends with the Black Stars.
