It is a suspicious autopsy. The precursor event was the battering the referee sustained from the fans. If the referee has a congenital heart defect which led to his demise, the assault may have been responsible for the exacerbation of his condition. Another possibility is that the referee was asthmatic or died from Acute Respiratory Syndrome(ARS) or died from Respiratory failure or shock induced cardio-pulmonary collapse, or cardiogenic shock due to circumstances instigated by the overly aggressive fans. Can this then be called "natural death'? Maybe or maybe not. The doctor's report should be examined by the Ghana Medical Association for a second opinion.

A second GMA appointed doctor should examine the autopsy report or perform a second autopsy and check for signs of head trauma, sub-arachnoid and sud-dural hematoma, cranial fracture and spleen rupture ,lung puncture, internal bleeding, and broken ribs. Then they do some blood work to eliminate some other possibilities.
