What we have forgotten is that in 1982 ayew snr should not have made it to libya but for the injury to the captain at the time adolf who never ever could return to the national team. apart frrom that with asase, papa ako, badu, nti, and even others like sly tetteh somehow ayew was still squeezed into the team and it took him 10 good years to make any meaningful impact on the african scene in senegal. so somtimes rushing does not help.
