Having 2 or 3 veterans on the team is great to instill discipline. That's it. The rest should be youthful players who are hungry to prove themselves. Look at brasil.

  While other national coaches of world cup teams are practically seriously preparing, Ghana's coach is having "holidays" travelling from country to country. In this era of telephone, skype, e-mail and "what have you" communications, does the coach necessarily need to be travelling from country to country to pay PERSONAL visits to EACH player? Why is it that coaches of other countries do not do this UNPRODUCTIVE thing, but only Ghana does? We are indeed very wasteful, as a country, according to World Bank.

  Since time immemorial, GFA boss, Akwasi Nyantakyi has been insulting the citizenry with perennial promises of "We are going to shock the world and bring the cup home". What after all, has been his legacy since coming to office, or what has he bequeathed to the Ghanian Premier League?; has he advanced or improved our colts system, or paid players bonus on time,...or itemized and made public the budget for 2014 Brazil WC?
  
  What has been this @#$%*&^'s contribution(s) to the league or football in the country?
  
  Don't get us started because we know all those players who are almost passed their sell by date or prime time; okay?
  
  Please, let's mix and jell youthful energy and experience, instead of going there to screw-up and returning home to pick up our fact salaries and bonuses.

  If Annan can be considered, then Acquah is already in the squad else it's a big mistake. Rabiu would be ready by June, Sulley can play at midfield to make way for Dede and Wakaso. what do we need Anna now for? He is finished.

  Please learn from Afranie and Milo on using young players. Afranie used Essien, Muntari & com in 2001 against the call to use Stephen Oduro, Charles Taylor, Ishmael Addo & com and we had a formidable Black a Stars team for more than a decade.
  The same thing from coach Milo preferring to infuse our national team with the 2009 U-20s and we still have Dede, Agyeman Badu & co.
  It's time to inject new youth players into our team to form the future of the Black Stars.
  Please K Appiah don't pass up this opportunity.
  Even Essien and Muntari are struggling to play four consecutive matches in a much slower Italian league.

  James Appiah the coach knows what he is up to! Visiting and talking to these players doen not mean he is inviting them BY ALL MEANS !The coach has been in contact with his "squad-in-mind" and wants to check on all of them( both active, inactive, benchwarmers and regular players)! He wants the "BEST AND FIT PLAYERS" to make his squad! He has been with the players and knows what they can, how far they have developed, and their standards! He has been with a lot of them over the years and knows their present status. In order to make a good selection, he has to talk with all of them and make them awere of his criterions for making his selection! Meeting Annan and John Mensah does not mean he is definitely inviting them! It could be that he wanted to explain to them their status at the PRESENT TIME and not AT THE FINAL SELECTION! Presently , we have only about HALF of the REALLY TOP PLAYERS FIT AND CONSISTENTLY BEING FIELDED IN THEIR CLUBS! Some have changed clubs and are now getting settled , some who were injured for a longtime are now fit and gradually being fielded fulltime! So. for Coach Appiah to get a good and reliable picture and info on the players he has to hold personal talks with players and their club officials; and this is exactly what he is doing!The media and some "AWAM" journalist are misinterpreting most of his actions and statements, and the earlier they put a stop to this, the more better it would be for the Black Stars and the coach!
