If Ghana has to send the best, then there must be major changes to the current squade. Since Maxwell says this will not happen, Ghanaians should watch out for a Croy LeRoy ie names, unfit, half fit, injury prone, recently recovered and yet untested players, etc.
I insist that if Ghana has to send the best team, then there must be major changes especially in the mid-field, period. No Croy LeRoy this time around, and no fear of dropping big names, after all, this is not a ceremonial match.

But certainly it will be crucial to include up and coming talents who can bring extra dimension to the team especially in the striking department. We need the energy and dynamism of the young talented players to complement the experience of the veterans in the team. It is going to be fast and furious in Brazil and we need fit and energetic players if we are to keep our fine record at the World Cup intact.

I am sure that Ghana will surprise the World. There is no contradiction in Mr. Konadu's stamen. This is my point. Some of us are getting a wee bit worried about whether enough thought has been given to the tactical approach that the team are going to adopt against each of our impending opponents. Which players suit such an approach and whether our technical team have collected adequate information on how Portugal, Germany or the US are likely to play against us. I believe the top European countries have comprehensive dossiers on us but do we have enough on them? I hope we are not going to adopt the nonchalant attitude that we are better than them and are therefore going to beat them instead of adequate, meticulous preparation. Our players are blessed in abundance with the natural and physical attributes but have our technical and tactical men done their bit? Well they better have else we will encounter massive problems getting out of the group.
