  So he was 19 years when he won the goal king in 2007.....7 years down the line he is 26 years? I do not doubt that a 19 years old footballer can win goal king but players (or is it sports writers) need to be truthful of the age of players. This is because the age of a player has influence on player performance. Age is one of the key variables in assessing or evaluating player performance. The underestimation of player age is one reason our players in the domestic and international leagues may not be performing well. This equally has impact on player selection into the Black stars and the consequent performance implications in the World cup.
