You hate Gyan for no good reason. 4 goals in 8 wc games. He has carried Ghana and Africa on his shoulders in 2 wc. Drougba, Eto and other top African strikers could not prove them selves at those wc. The guy scores where ever ...

Financially gyan made the best decision for himself and his family; however, as a nation we are doomed if we are to depend on him to be better than last world cup.

  • Kobooh 9 years ago

I agree with you completely that Ghana is doomed if all hopes are in this eccentric player. He is definitely not the dependable (reliable, if you chose) type at all.

it's so sad to hear such an utterance from the so-called ex-black stars coach e.k. afranie. how could ghana's success hinge on only asamoah gyan's effort to score?

  • Sam 9 years ago

All of a sudden these ungrateful Ghanaians are showing their colors.Yes Gyan carried us on his back the way to this point. Can you imagine what our chances would have been had he not been present?

  • Ekow Daniels 9 years ago

He has the opportunity to become one of the greatest players ever played football this summer and I know he will stand tall to proof his doubters wrong.

Stop the cheap talk. What kind of competitive game is played in Saudi Arabia? We don't depend on one player for the success of a team. Shut up Afranie

Coach Afranie is immature. How can a coach with many years of coaching experience talk so lopsly. I am disappointed in him.

  • Al Hajj A A A-Rashid(OH.USA) 9 years ago

Coach Afranie, I am very disappointed in your statements. What you are saying or have said is NOT good for team spirit. It takes a team to win a game.

  • THE LONE PROPHET OF JEHOVAH 9 years ago

This is call disunite among the team in general instead of team spirit. !!!By wisdom through the spirit of God a Nation or team is build.Coach Afranie am disappointed in you have a nice day

If we are going to base our strategy on one player then we might as well us sit at home and not go. Football is a group sports. Goals could and should come from all corners. We must be on our guard and be smart
