By what the commander has said, it can be inferred that some of the Black Star players attempted to bribe the coach. The coach rejected the E25,000 bribe but did he accept the E50,000 or E100,000 bribes? Were there E50,000 and E100,000 bribes. Maybe none. So the coach just tell the press no comments and the case is closed. No need to give the value of the attempted bribe.

It’s funny, after reading this I felt something itching on my cheeks and as I wipe my face it was tears. I think the whole Ghana should take notice of this. From the Government to the common Ghanaian (those who take bribe and those who give bribe because whatever they need will not be done if they refuse to pay up or because they want a favor). We have to wipe out corruption and in so doing, we will all lose something (in this case Mr. Appiah is losing 25000 euros, who knows many more players will have followed to bribe him)? However, if we reject or stop giving bribes, we will all gain as a whole in the end. Look at it this way, when one person accepts a bribe, the whole nation suffers because the right thing is not done. For example, if this unnamed player is not right player for the world cup, the coach will be rich and Ghana will lose its glory at the world cup. The same thing happens to the average citizen, when we give bribes, we encourage corruption and everyone suffers as a result. But if we refuse to give bribes, we will learn to live within our means and then we will realize other avenues that can be developed which in the end will create other opportunities and create more growth for the nation as a whole. For instance you to the government ministries to get a birth or death certificate and you have to run around from Korle-bu to Accra, with most employees looking for a bribe before doing what they have to do. If all these documents are networked, on a computer system (a technology we have), they will be many jobs for the youth. But because somebody want to make money by taking bribes, the system is as it is. We need to learn from Coach Appiah for our own good. This is a perfect example. God bless you Mr. Coach. Congrats.

Massa, don't just sit down there and say whatever you want. Look, if the country (Ghana) could have 35%-40% coach MRAA type men in all the governmental institutions, we might have progress far, far better by now. Up to 80% from top to the bottom are corrupted!

There are some of us who have vehemently stood behind coach DR.MRAA from the beginning till now just because we believes in him that he will do the right thing at the right time. One thing I want to draw his attention towards is the goal-keeper trainer. I have a gut feelings that, he and goal-keeper Dauda had some secret connections and he should be very, very careful when deciding the number one goalie to man the poles. We don't need a rocket scientist to tell us the actual facts.
