There are many talented players both in Ghana and abroad and although my favorite ones in the like of aboagye and asifuah didn't get a chance, I believe the selection in fair and let's support our team

Even though Boakye is doing really well right now, he was previously invited to the Black Stars and also had a chance to play for the Under 20, but he did not impress on those occasions. He was warming bench the whole time that Assifuah was playing. That's why maybe even Assifuah would get called ahead of Yiadom. Granted, Yiadom is playing in a tough league now, but he has had quite a few chances to prove himself in the past. To me, Yiadom, Assifuah, and Otoo are at about the same level, so it doesn't really matter who the coach calls. They will all end up on the bench as long as Gyan, Warris, and Boateng are fit and playing.

The inclusion of Mahatma Otoo could be useful on the right wing, but given the absence of John Mensah and Isaac Vorsah, one would have thought warrant the calling/inclusion of Awal Mohammed on stand-by too.

These days, some teams are even at times playing with three center defenders. Hence, we can only hope that given the fast pace of modern football, we have top-notch defenders to take care of our defense.

Btw, Rashid and Awal Mohammed; what are their qualities and which one would you pick as your number one defender?

The Coach has selected 26 players which he must trim to 23 for the World Cup. Common sense should tell him that the 3 players to be excluded will become the basis of his standby list. Why go and create another list of standby players? This means to get to the new list he's created, 4 players from the original list have to be injured? What are the odds? Another problem is the players on the second list will have no benefit of camping and training with the other players. If, however minute the odds, they are called, how are they going to fit in. How useful are they going to be.
A coach with brains and forward thinking will call upon 30 players and cut down to 23, leaving him 7 on standby. The advantage, these 7 will have had the benefit of training with the other players and can fit in immediately when called. Not our Coach. I won't be surprised if he has to called up a replacement player, he will select from his second list of standbys. That is the coach leading us to Brazil
