At some point of your tour of office, some thought provoking issues led you out as a kind of coach who persistently could be compromised, influenced or dictated to.
The "Muntari-Wogyimi" fracas was a stab in your heart. You had wanted to have nothing done with him as long as you remained in charge.
Fortunately or unfortunately, being what you are, something 'gave up' leading to the easy amendment in your heart that exonerated Sulley as he now appear your buddy-buddy, ready to die for you.
The Ayews' nonchalant attitude, which I deemed it as a calculated gross insubordination to you right in the face prior to the AFCON was
another stab in the back that could have excommunicated them in the annals of Appiah-Abedi thorny history as the GBS main man.
What happened then?
It was down-played,watered down by people in the corridors of power. You had to give up in the best interest of the nation.
In the beginning, prior to the build up of getting your team solidified for the Brazil mundial. You were found to be inconsistent in your attempt to make yourself the sole charger. "I will build my house around players who have clubs partnered with consistent play. Half fits, as well as baked fits were to be dehumanized. But at the same time. you had said, you roughly have some twenty players already signed, sealed and delivered, OOPS! booked up regardless".
Quite recently, you reiterated taking a thirty-man squad shuffle and reshuffle them after the friendlies lined up. But you came out with 26 instead.
When the nagging and the whining returned on the serving of artificial quotas, make believe for local players, foreign based and the regulars, I thought those ideas were drummed in your head, OOPS! ur ears that one local was not respectful enough to the local coaches and the league in general.
Strangely, you quickly side swiped and served up two more locals to appease the disgruntled few.
If nobody is talking to you, you must be talking to somebody. Walls, they say, have ears, you know.
You may not have been kowtowed or 'pendulumed' but to say that you are your own man, devoid of anybody's influence or 'marching orders' gives me the audacity to reveal the above weakest link of your tenure.
Proof me wrong. I stand corrected.

What a tracking record! You are really on his tail and that's the way it goes. I give it to you, Godfather. I almost brought these issues out until I realized the man is just a human as I am. We are bound to do somethings wrong or to off track. Therefore thinking in that direction, I had to go soft on him. He is a human and will make mistakes. The most important lesson here is to correct them and not allow such mistakes to re-occur. This is where I see Dr. Coach Appiah standing without moving an inch. Like they say, show me a man who has never made a mistake and I will be glad to show you a man who lacks improvement.
The man is maturing and I like that about him. I never knew he had this strictness to build such a strong squad until he demonstrated it. I'm very proud of him.
Godfather, I'm back in the neighborhood and very close to your doorstep. Hope all is well. Will buzz you one of these days.

1). Appiah said he'll field players who have clubs and are in good form. He never said players that play consistently. After all how many of our players are consistent? If you could remember, he "Appiah" gave an example almost like this "a Ghanaian bench warmer of Chelsea is definitely better than a consistent Ghanaian player with South Africa's Mamelodi Sundowns", which I'm in 100% agreement with him.
2). Appiah has all along been saying he'll only go with 25 or 26 players to Holland and by the time they'll be leaving for the USA, he'll cut it to 23.
3). The 30 players he named were per FIFA regulations. It's not like somebody spoke with him and he went back to include them. That list was submitted to FIFA on that same day he announced the 26. He did it just like Brazil's. They named only 23 players to the public but still submitted 30 names.
During camping, he's not taking any of those 4 but the initial 26. However, he'll only delve into that 4 when it becomes necessary to replace any player.

Coach Kwesi Appiah inherited the national team at a difficult time, yet still managed to qualify for the World Cup.
In our first and second appearances in Germany and in South Africa, most of our players were top class (Stars) players in their varoious teams. Steven Appiah-Galatasaray, Essien-Chelsea, Muntari-Tottenham,Mensah Massails etc. They were all enjoying star atatus at their respective teams. Unlike today most of them are struggling for first team selection. I think Ghanaians should appreciate the tireless and couragious efforts of Kwesi Appiah who has succeeded in building a formidable team. I pray that he will continue to have the free hand to handle the team,
because a good team is not achieved by accident. It is achieved by combining the understanding, the techniques, and the skills of eleven players which demands a professional approach.
My advice a compact team must be built, meaning the forward players working hard to recover and challenge opponent. °The rear and the midfield players moving forward when they have possession of the ball and the ball is played forward.° The defending players moving accross (shiften) the field when the opposition has possession of the ball on a flank in order to lock the ball in the quarter of the field. I am confident in Kwesi Appiah that he will do his best to hold aloft the flag of Ghana.
