The stupidity and ignorance of 'illiteracy' is confounding. Essien is now a bit-player who hardly plays for the Black Stars and you want him handed the captaincy? Look at the number of times he has played for the team and you will realize there are more 'senior' players than him; players like Muntari, K. Asamoah, etc. Furthermore, we cannot rely on Essien to be a regular for the team. Lastly, he spends more time on the bench of his European teams than play and he has even been given very fair chances to prove his fitness.
