There is nothing to face here Governor this game is a to fine tune our plans I have no problem we advancing we are facing the same odds we faced in 2006 no one gave us chance in 2006 and we proved them wrong. In Rotterdam when the Orange of Holland crushed us to a 4-1 defeat during our preparations for the 2010 World Cup finals in South Africa now ask yourself what we did in South Africa. I do not want any "fool" coming up against Akwesi Appiah if we lose this match for we lost all our games on our way to 2006 and 2010 world cup.

Wakaso will definitely make the team.

spot on Mr Ayittey. We pray for injury-free match and the appropriate test for our starting eleven. AA may need a stronger analgesic. Nice writing, too.

nice piece of article but i do not see why m. essien should be paired with j. boye.that would sound more of an experiment.remember this is not the time for experiments.this is the time to see how your first 11 would fare against a world class team.then at the later stages the coach can bring on those players he intend to keep in-place of those that will be sent home.
Think you meant May 31st and not June.....doesn't hurt to proof read an article before publishing.

Because of our defensive weaknesses, Essien and K Asamoah should play more defensive midfield roles.

As my grandson says "Picy" when he means spicy hot, I would not want to sit on Akwasi Appiah's seat on the upcoming "head-chopping," vandalu Indian curry hot exercise of trimming his squad down to 23 men. Who to take out after you have been with all these hard working young men for some time? Will, royalty to country and fans, experience, discipline, ability to deliver under pressure are all factors which should count in choosing the last 23. There should be no "chosen ones" and all should be on conspicuous merit. Even the 3 who are not chosen should be given an all-expense paid offer to Brazil as compensation .

Many people in London are making such a big fuss about this match. The BS dont have to bust a gut today. The only thing we have to do is to make sure we hold Holland. We should not lose as that will sap morale. We just have to pitch our defense with the wits of Robin and see how we will cope come the real stuff. Not losing to Holland will prove three things. 1. That we can mix it up at the highest level with the best and 2. That we are ready to challenge for the cup, well, the semi finals will be just as good. 3. It will serve a notice to the football world that Ghana is in the WC to be counted and that would influence their approach when they meet us next month. A nil-nil will be good for me.

This match is today, Saturday May 31st at 20:30 CET. There are many friendly matches involving World Cup teams today. Portugal is playing Greece at the same time I think we chose a good test opponent in Nederland
