His role proved pivotal to his team's performance. Essien and Muntari can be very effective if their strengths are utilised properly. They are vastly experienced, and can still be counted on to make major contributions. That is why I disagree with Karl Tuffuor's point of view.

But after watching the friendly against Holland and the bias nature of the selection of the final squad, I have certainly lost all hopes that we will be able to maintain our record of qualifying from the group stage in Brazil. A foreign coach will certainly not have been afraid or would have had the sound knowledge of selecting young and vibrant players. This is ample evidence that Akwasi Appiah will not be up to task. I now understand why some Ghanaians believed we need a Technical Director. Surely, Ghana's record at the WC is in grave danger right now. A KOKOFU COACH WILL NEVER SUCCEED.

Defenders are booked most often and hence never wise to go to a big tournament like the WC with 6 defenders instead of 8. The first mistake was leaving out Vorsah. He should have been there and used in all the friendlies to regain his form. The second is dropping another defender (Shlupp) when Akaminko had been injured already. The team lacks balance and i was expecting Adomah and Essien to be dropped. Essien especially since we have Afriyie Acquah, Rabiu and Agyemang-Badu.
Some way, i am not surprised because of what a friend at the FA told me prior to him naming his squad. He alleged that the FA always insists to pay the players in cash because the senior players who earn fat wages give most of the monies back to them. And who are these senior guys????

Sulley can hold the central mid with Kevin prince helping the two attack in crew Assmoah Gyan and warris as attacking mid. Kwadwo Asamoah and Harrison Afful will take charge of left forward and left back respectively. The john Boye and Jonathan M defends in the central spots.

This selection give coach many options for subs and if muntari is slow Afriyie Acquah of Agyemang badu awaits.

Wakaso and astu are options for the left and right flank as subs
