Look at how they qualified. they played Iran. Look at the friendlies they have played prior to going to brasil. Look at goals for,.goals against. This is what I was referring to. So beating kkorea is nothing to gloat about.

this south Korean side is one of the weakest I have witnessed in recent times. if appiah wanted to test the quality and depth of this squad he should played them against a very potent Dutch side. the defense was still struggling against this obviously weak side and balls were been lost without much pressure from the opposition in midfield. the build up to attack lacked a sense of urgency and focus. there were times when they got it right, but at world cup levels you want to be on top of your game the whole 90+5 mins. some pluses to take away is that our strikers, gyan and Jordan ayew are very dangerous, the midfield when they get their act together is one of the best in the tournament.

I do not think the fans should have chanted for the USA. It makes it seem like a tacit admission that the Black Stars will not be able to competently face Portugal and Germany so they are interested only in walloping the cheap USA team in their group.

This to my mind smacks of self-defeatism. I could not watch the Ghana-South Korea match but by the favorable and impressive results that the Black Stars chalked, I believe they can go on from there to effectively deal with both Portugal and Germany.

We have a good team and we should encourage them to face any challenge and give off their best in all circumstances. We should stop seeing ourselves as second or third best. Having qualified three successive times to play in the world cup, should inform us that we are amongst the best and we should live up to those expectations.

The Americans were chanting "We want Ghana" during their Nigeria match on Saturday.

Chanting "We want Germany" or "We want Portugal" would have no effect on the festive American atmosphere.

Hmmmmmmm.I wasn't impressed with how the forwards make too many touches on the ball. As they get closer to their opponents 18. That's not good. As you get closer to your opponents 18, you're supposed to make simple, 1touches, into the 18 and shoot from there. Against korea, these gh forwards were always holding the ball. Ebei! And AA wasn't saying anything. Rabiu must be used in defence to partner sumaila. Our defenders especially afful must stop making long passes at the back. These long passes were easily getting intercepted by the koreans. A good team will make us pay dearly for such carelessness. What's going on on the gh bench? Why is AA in a different color short than the rest of the technical bench? Again, no one on the tech bench was taking notes as the game wore on. AA was blocking everyone's view. Essien and muntari must be saved for last or against Germany. We will need their experience. Against usa and Portugal, use acquah and Badu in midfield. Wakasu needs to up his confidence and play with his "head".

Please look at the sequence leading up to the second goal from Jordan. It was started by a wonderful long diagonal pass by Afful... If you want to score, you have to make chances. Sometimes that meand some long passes.

Ghana is well known for out strong midfield but I must say that if the cosh use this starting 11 our midfield would be no much for many of the teams. Whiles some people itch for the coach to drop Essien, we will be beaten by all the teams in the group if Essien do not play. There is no play maker in midfield. K. Asamoah should be paired with Essien in the middle and Muntari should play K. Asamoah current position. There is no play maker in this current style the coach is playing and I smell defeat for the Black Stars.
