  1994 ghana versus cote d'ivoire in Tunisia. The ivorians were a goal up before CK came up with a stunning freekick to draw parity. after that abedi got a ball very close to the ivorian 18, and because by then the spotlight was on CK, the maestro decided to do 1 of his things by hanging on the ball twisting stylishly but the ivorian defender was unamused quickly took the ball away from him send in a long pass to spot troare unmarked, our players were caught pants down, baffoe applied a desperate slide tackle, edward ansah but in a brave interception but were too late to stop the ivorian from getting a second goal. ghana was sent home and noone ever referred to abedi's playing to the gallery which caused the second goal.
