The Germans always have a 2 GAME WILY STRATEGIES. The first STRATEGY is to make sure your attack is neutralized by their team, individuals or the last man by relying on their experience, composure and psychological edge. (Ghana should not show its wild card in the early moments but must attack and press more hungrily, powerfully and clinically with caution. The Germans won’t sit back like the US. They will modulate their attack along similar and dissimilar lines based on the level of your defensive organization and will harass you with all sorts of attacks till they score or you manage to smash one in at their end. The second STRATEGY they will employ is to throw caution to the wind and press high thus if they are losing. (Here, Ghana must make sure they hit them with lightening, whisking counter attacks when the ball falls to them)

For Ghana, there will be no margin for error. We will need all our full-house of firepower and killers on display. The Germans are humble but have a highly functional sense and are down-to-earth workaholics, feeds on detected mistakes and errors of their opponents with goals in the boots of all their 11 players. The movements of their build-up is slow but when they get to the last third they make up for it with dangerous meandering, dash-into-space runs, body swings, pin point tall shots, crosses and their sometimes individual or combo moves that opens goal scoring chances out of nothing. In their execution they are cold and heartless. They also have the ability to skillfully and intelligently switch play from defense into offense in a split second, producing deadly outcomes.

Their players are efficient and tidy in their passing which is intended to be trickery and direct as it progresses… their intention is to have the chance to score for themselves. They have some experienced players in midfield and attack that always want to knife you for their team. Ghana must take no chances at the back and be tidy in their passing as much as possible.

Into the look of the proceedings… From the blast of the whistle, The Germans will fan out of their half with an unmistakable intent and will seek to establish the upper hand in the game but be warned that one or two of their players will like to attempt a bolting early goal like Montenegro, the Dutch and the USA did to us. As the clash progresses, they will seek to press themselves into attacking positions or withdraw into defensive positions depending on how dangerous and pressurizing Ghana is but even in those moments, they’d fully maintain the abundant intent to hurt you the more through counter-attacks and surprise play from innocuous situations. This is what sets Germany apart from other teams. This is what make Germany, Germany.

But Ghana should not lose heart because there’s a strategy to beat such a wily deceptive, trapping system which gives you the impression that you’re in the game but in reality you have been trapped and it is only a matter of time for you to become one of their victims. Ghana team is traditionally a fighting, fast counter-attacking team. Only the inclusion of Waris makes it possible for us to hold the ball upfield for long and mount attacks from there. Though we have the potential to build teams that overrun opponent’s defence, for now we must focus on playing to our strengths.

German team is innovative, like to defeat opponents their own way and it always succeed. Their efficiency is between 90-98% but the pillars in the team are not the strongest around. It can be over-powered by the forces in our team and a scoring blow delivered. That is the first strategy Ghana can apply. The second strategy which represents an option is that Ghana can be highly tactical-minded and be ruthless as individuals and as a team at the same time, both in defense, midfield and especially in attack when we are exploiting weak spots over there. The third strategy is the most common strategy thus, Ghana will respect their opponent with an incredible amount of defensive resistance that translates into lightening, bolting counter-attacks ultimately called ‘smash and grab’. The fourth and last strategy is what most young players in this Ghanaian team are used to...the high pressing, not giving room for the opponent to breathe on the ball or having time on the ball, threading passes, tightening the noose around the opponents defence from all corners, choking teams to break their backs. This require incredible amount of energy but it normally works.

All the strategy in the above are highly effective. Whichever one we choose, the players must be shrewd and ruthless in its application. The sport of Football is almost like a war except that there are no arms and weapons used in there. Ghana must go into the match prepared to lay it all there from the blast of the whistle. I would like to caution that Ghana should not play into the hands of the German’s strategy. We must be fundamentally disruptive to their play. In set pieces we should be the first to ball when it comes even though prior to any crossing we should not lose sight or marking of our man. Overall, Ghana must go into the match and show they mean business, they must let the Germans feel it in their bones. It is time to clear the rubbish

Primitive for saying that the earlier goal was not expected as a coach you expect anything and plan for it in the 90 minute. Nyanatkyie is being primitive by putting his mouth in a matter that does not concern him as GFA President and Chairman of the Black Star Management Committee you do not comment on matter that concern coaching even when you are trainer coach this tell us that Akwesi Appiah is not in charge. I hope whenever you come to power you would not be a micromanager. Now that Nyantakyi who knows nothing about tactical issues in football is also beginning to defend errors then Ghana indeed has a challenging future as far as our progress from this group stage is concerned.
I also partly blame Asamoah because when he was first deployed to play that role in one of our qualifying games in Kumasi and Ghanaians registered their disapproval he(Asamoah) openly came out to say he doesn't mind which position he is asked to play.
Why is he complaining now?Because it is now a big stage?
God help us to RESIST EVERY OPPRESSOR' S RULE' as a portion of our our anthem even states.

If Appiah had not dropped Schlupp, we could have used Schlupp on the left, and Afful and Inkoom on the right. I would have dropped Opare and brought on Edusei, but this is all wishful thinking now.

We are short on defenders, hence the need to play Kwadwo Asamoah on the left. The next best thing is to play Afful on the left and Inkoom on the right. Please, don't let Opare play again if you care about winning.

Kingston is good in punching out corner kicks. We forgot to talk about how Adam conceded a goal within 60 seconds which is a record in World Cup but rather criticizing the other defenders. Goal keeping sometimes comes with luck and I don't think this guy has it. We need a goalkeeper like what the Mexican goalkeeper did against the Brazilians yesterday.
Germany will try and score similar goal like the second goal of USA because the same tactics are used by the Germans ie. striking the ball from nowhere on corner kicks. Let's bear in mind that Norway is not a football country to produce "Black Cat" goalkeepers.

Look at the right wing and left back. Now even the forward has improved a bit but look at how our players played compared to the Americans.
Allowing such an early goal , scoring and allowing them to score again so easily even when Essien and Boateng were playing. These are professional players yet they commit these petty mistakes.
We call Kwadwo Asamoah a play maker but he hardly score goals so if he can make the defence solid then it is a good idea,

With the tremendous talent that we have, any big time coach would be very happy to have his hands on the Ghanaian squad and perhaps win the World Cup if not reach the semi finals. Kwesi Appiah made me really furious with the squad that started the game against the United States. 4-4-2 really?
The 4-5-1 or 4-2-3-1 are the best formations that can take Ghana somewhere. Clearly Opare has shown he is not the right man for the RB position, we can place Afful there. The man is skillful and has more experience as a football player than Opare. His game against South Korea should have taught Appiah something. Both Boye and Mensah should be the two CBs. Though Boye disappointed me with his performance against the US, I still think he is the right man for the job. Asamoah should be left at LB position, he is doing well there. We need him to be on the pitch, he has too much skill to be left out in our loaded midfield. Our two holding midfielders Appiah got right! Muntari and Rabiu are doing well there. Ayew should have played LW, the position he excels at. At the middle of the attacking midfielders, We need Boateng. I am still dazzled why Appiah decided to bring him on at the 60th minute against the US. At right wing, Atsu has to stay there. He is the right man for the job. With his pace, skill and passion for the game, he is set to be a big star right before our eyes. At front, we all know Asamoah Gyan is the man there. HIs two strikers philosophy will not work here at the World Cup. We have attacking midfielders who have eyes for goals and can push the ball up, there is no need for Waris. Appiah should have went back to the drawing board after his injury.
Finally, Friendly matches are games to test you FIRST team Appiah not your SECOND team who will not play at the World Cup. Again, I do not understand Kwesi Appiah on choosing to play our second team during friendlies especially against the Netherlands. The dutch coach played his first squad against Ghana and their star player Robben played the whole game. I don't know if Appiah is scared to show his squad. Oh man I can't continue this........ he simply needs to go, he doesn't know what he is doing.

The guy's body language tells it all, he does not enjoy playing there, he has said it openly and again in no uncertain terms after our shameful loss to the USA. Dont always tow the politically line, a lawyer's mark is objectivity, well mine is and so should yours be. I hope this is just a public vote of confidence in the diabolical mistake by your coach but that you will go and have a private word with him to redress this particular problem before we play Germany. If you dont do that, then the presumption that learned friends are really learned will be rebutted.
