I am not sure that the current contract specifically wants him to bring the World Cup to Ghana. The details of the contract will give guidelines and assignments to detrmine whether he has not done well or not. It is a choice between termination of contract or resigning. If the contract is terminated giving acceptable reasons aside indiscipline he has to be paid off in a preferential way than he resigning. Certainly I will prefer to be terminated. So he will never offer to resign.

AA will never resign....... he will have to be sacked. If he resigns, he loses compensation for the remaining term of his contract. If he is sacked, then the GFA would have breached the terms of the contract and therefore would have to pay him compensation for the remaining term.
Why should he resign? If I am him, I will also stay..... If I stay, I get paid...... If I am sacked, I get paid......... why should I resign?

All the coaches builds their teams to DELIVER at the W/C, but not to go the W/C for experimentation or to learn. Enough of Akwasi Appiah, even if we give him Kumasi Asante Kotoko he can never win the league tittle with them.
He got nothing more to prove only hanging on to his $20,000. per month deal.

He formed his team and went for Afcon and what happened? Fiasco right, and most of us still stood firmly behind him and gave him benefit of doubt that, he gonna put the Thomasees into shame at Brazil and what happened again. Somebody said he is forming a new team, for what purpose, for 2015 and 2018?

Fast forward Brazil 2014 - looking at our group, no fully objective person would have expected Ghana to progress. I said this many times on this forum, that all of us hoping for Ghana to progress were doing so on the basis of optimism and hope, not fact. By the way, are you aware that Spain, England and Italy were also kicked out at the group stage? Do you think we would have done better if we were coached by Roy Hodgson for example?

When I put a comment on here that the trouble makers in the squad are Muntari, KPB, Essien, Andre and Jordan, people like Avogadro came and were telling me to amend my "cut and paste". 2 days later what happened? KPB came out and named his clique, the so called anti-corruption squad, and it included the exact same players I named.
Everybody has a part of the blame to accept. AA should have fought for his players and challenged the GFA to provide better transport and hotels.... he is also very touchy and needs to learn to man up to players like KPB who seem to have a personal hatred of him......... the main farce out of Brasil was the GFA and how they handled things like player bonuses........ getting rid of AA is not going to solve that problem!

What came out was the inadequte technical knowhow of the game by our technical men. The World cup is a big stage with teams from all the corners of the world. A technical person with know how of how, especially, the European game is and mentality of these players are would have helped. And also how to change the game plan when winning, drawing or losing so as to come out with positive results. One other factor of our poor showing is to do with the selection. People who should have been on the plane were left out.

You use them as cash cows and exploit them, taking a whole host of "non-essential" officials only to disrupt things in the camp. None of you have come out to say why you didn't want to give these players their pay given by FIFA even before the tournament began and what on earth were the "non-essential" host doing with the squad. Personally, I believe a person like Sellas Tetteh would be more capable than Appiah to lead Ghana on the global stage because he has done it successfully a couple of times already, and has the respect of most of the current players of the BS, whom he coached to win the U-20 world cup.
I also believe Odenkey could also do a better job than Appiah for the simple reasons that he has won the World Cup before as a captain, and up to this moment, he has been hired as a soccer analyst in Europe. Everybody around the globe (except some Ghanaian ignoramuses) knows that Odenkey knows a thing or two about the game at this level, and, that alone would command some respect from the playing body.
You cannot coach a team when the players feel they know the game better than you do. You cannot teach law students about law when they know you have no knowledge about the subject.
It is just as simple as that.

It is important we change our psychic that a foreign couch is definitely was is needed. Even the expectation for foreign couch on the part of general public in general, and players, in particular, can always psychologically inhibit performances, and people will always find excuses for their upsets, attributing it to a lack of foreign couch.
The couch has his part to play, and the team has his part to play. Notwithstanding, other factors obviously inhibited the team from advancing.

Most of us knew he was not a coach when he was put in place but Ghana people wanted one of their own so they supported him. He then failed really bad at the AFCON (African World Cup). Right there it was confirmed Kwesi would fail us. He did not improve but failed even more in the WC. Appiah should not be learning on the job. This is a position where the handler must be on top of his game cos millions are invested into it so it is not a place for beginners, which is what Kwesi Appiah is. Your statement is right but we have past the FIRST CHANCE era. We are at the point where he should either resign or be fired.

Minister who took his wife and 2 kids at the expense of our taxes. Could not liaise with the Ghana embassy to ensure excellent accommodation and travel arrangements when we qualified 8 months before the tournament.
GFA who for the third time has screwed up again. They opened an account for players and assured them that they will be paid before the tournament when they knew there was no money. There were 43 official members but presented a budget for 70, so wasted our money on 27 hangers on. Had one of the highest budgets for all participants. Could not even plan for so called supporters, leaving them stranded and some arriving after Ghana was kicked out.
The least said about the deputy minister,the better.
In Ghana, we sack the messenger when the manager is the problem. The next coach who is appointed will face the same problems if we do not fix the top. So the whole top must go not Kwasi Appiah alone.
