The Germans beat everyone except us and they are the world champions. So the heart of every Ghanaian is bleeding for what could have been if we had Coach Milovan Rajevac at this world-cup.
Presently, we as a nation, are paying
for Mr. Nyantekyi's failure to provide a coach who can manage affairs on and off the field with enough gravitas to hold these pampered Ghana international players in a patriotic mindset.
If the central role of the GFA is to run the local league and manage the national team, then why are we dealing with insubordinate players and an entire president coming out to give assurances to players before a game at the World Cup.
Did Rawlings, Kuffour or Mills(RIP) deal with any such "crap" during their tenures.
Who the hell are we kidding?
If Mr. Nyantekyi has any brains left, he would do everything in his power to bring Mr. Milovan Rajevac back to the national team as Coach.
Kwesi Appiah is a good coach but he is inconsistent and lacks fore-sight. His record with the Black Stars prove it. If you do not think so, then explain to yourself why he had to bring in Jordan Ayew and take-out KPB because the Germans took-out Jerome. Also, when we were ahead by two goals to one, the Germans brought-in Schweingsteiger and Klose to help them score. But, Appiah brought-in Agyeman-Badu and Wakaso, which showed that he was not willing to protect our lead by bringing on two additional defenders to shift our posture to a 2-4-4 formation with two additional defenders in the midst to protect our lead. Instead he was planning to beat the Germans by more goals and the changes he made proves his mind set. So, we were lucky to get the 2-2 draw in that game because the German forwards got stronger towards the end and got their equalizer.
Again, when we played the USA, Coach Appiah did not have a plan to salvage a draw game when the score was tied at 1-1 in the 83rd minute, instead the players were still trying to win it and any fool could see that luck was not on our side if it had taken us more than 80 minutes to find an equalizer.
So he should be kept as an assistant to Milovan Rajevac. Keep all the players if you want, they will not be revolting under him and Muntari can suck his thumb and shut-up. Rajevac can keep them in check.
Ghana needs a coach who is grounded enough to perceive our areas of weakness and protect us but also strong enough to capitalize on our obvious potential for greatness.
So, Mr. Nyantekyi, I do not know how long the president is willing to let you keep hurting the nation with your cheap solutions.

The lesson hear for Mr. GFA is that we went to Fifa World-Cup 2006, lost to Brazil in the round of 16. Coach Ratomir Djukovic Salary $45000.00 Per. Month.
Then, we went to Fifa World-Cup 2010, lost to Uruguay in the quarter-finals. Coach Milovan Rajevac Salary $60,000.00 Per. Month.
Then, we went to Fifa World-Cup 2014, Did not get out of the group stage. Coach Kwesi Appiah Salary $20,000.00 Per. Month.
Lesson: You cannot climb a mountain with cheap equipment. Good football cost a lot of money. So stop being cheap and hire Milovan Rajevac again.

With this mess, it should be the people of Ghana who have a right to rectify the wrong and to demand that needed changes be made to meet the aspirations of the players and supporters. Is it the people or government of the country or FIFA ? What is wrong with the government of a particular country which is part of FIFA wanting to know and fix things if it is obvious that there is something wrong and its not FIFA which will fix it ? The government and the people determine what is good for the counrty for heaven's sake and not FIFA. Is it wrong for a nation to find ways of fixing her own problems as it relates to a particular sector ? What is the difference if a nation tries to investigate problems in other sports discipline and fix problems that exist for the good of the country ? Will the United States government be scared to launch investigation in its soccer administration if they find it necessary ? Come on guys we are letting this FIFA body get away with murder. Let us arise and do what is good for mother Ghana and not be intimidated.

This government of Mahama (NDC) does not have what it takes to identify problems and solve the problem. Let's face it, if one cannot identify a problem how could one fix the problem? And if a Leader is incompetent how could an incompetent Leader appoint competent people to work with. It takes one to know one. Or It takes a smart one to identify a smart one. A fool befriend's a fool. Don't you agree?
The problem with our Black Stars team has some traditional in-dept to the core problem. Ghanaians who has not lived in Europe or Western world do have a difficult time to relate to European life style. And as long as Ghana (GFA) depends on our children who were born and or trades in Europe, and the officials of GFA are "typical" Ghanaians, Ghana will continue to experience, disobedience and unrest within the Black Stars camp.
I do not see Coach Kwasi Appiah or Nyantakyi to understand and relate effectively to Prince Boateng and Kwarasey who was born and lived in Europe their lifes. I am speaking from my experience of 9 years in Germany and 30 years in the United States. And as a former President of Ghana Association, you can get our made in Ghana children and born in Europe children do anything you want if one understand how to relate and reason with them.
Further, our Muntari's and Kwarasey's who have tasted great Coaching and modern European way of doing things, will always find inadequacy to the likes of Coach Kwasi Appiah's and "90" years old Ben Kuofie's style of Coaching and technicality.
Kwarasey trains and do business in Norway. This is an advanced European country. Blacks Stars way of training will be under par compared to technical and managerial style. Likewise, the likes of Muntari's and Essien's who are matured, worked under Technical and Coaching style which is based on quality without tribalism and traditional "must obey to elders" has become a new life style. Anyone who would disagree with me remain to be a typical Ghanaian mentality. And that is the problem within the Black Stars. How could Coach Appiah chose to deny Kwarasey based on inability to speak the local language. Big problem right there.

Ghana could win a world cup. Black Stars could beat Germany in our last encounter had Jordan Ayew not played selfish and passed the ball to Gyan at the crucial dying minutes of the game. If Black Stars could beat Germany, then I say with all confident that, Black Stars could win the world cup. The most serious question is this: does Ghana have the technical ability to win a world cup? My answer is NO.
The Coach and the management does not understand how to handle the players to win their confidence.
I read that during their flights, the players flown economy while the Coach and other Officials flown first Class.
The players were lodged at a second class hotel while Officials lodged at a top flight hotel. Remember that all these players are millioners. They are capable of first class flights and lodge in first class hotels. But the Ghanaian mentality of these GFA and the Coach is to treat the players as boys to maintain their seniority over them. The typical Ghanaian mentality.
The Coach and Nyantakyi could have won the hearts and trust of the players by lodging at the same hotel and fed on the same meals at the same dinner tables; and flown at the same common economy. I would have made it fun to lottery a chance for all to win travelling first class. Not by seniority but a fair chance to all.
Further, there were too many GFA officers travelling with the team that has no business with the team. I read about 68 officers traveled with the team of 23 players. Any smart player could know that the GFA way of doing things is corrupted and under par from the teams they played in Europe.
I will want to see Coach Appiah fired. He demonstrated lack of technical ability during the tournament. Nyantakyi must go. He also does not have the high end quality to manage the Black Stars. Black Stars need a Coach like Desailey, Kuffuor or Abedi. Not an European, but a Ghanaian who have lived the European style and has the ability to work with our dependable European based players.
